Hello Mesa Families,
What an incredible time we had this past week. The Farm Day event was tremendously successful and academically rich. From the turkeys, pigs, goats, bees to the vintage tractors to the kale popsicles… it was a great day enjoyed
by all, including all the students from Somis Union School, Triton Academy School, and Golden Valley Charter School.
Big thanks go out to Mrs. McKenna for organizing the vent for the past several months, and for the Mesa PFO for their support in providing breakfast and lunch to the exhibitors and volunteers (and the Tater Tots were a big hit!). This Friday, June 2nd, is our much-anticipated MEF annual golf tournament. See the flyer attached here and take the day off of work to join us for this fun adult event and join my foursome! I know you’d really like to win the 2017
Chevrolet Silverado truck for your hole-in-one!
Also happening Friday evening is our very last Restaurant Night of the year. Gather your friends and meet at Chuck E. Cheese in Ventura, anywhere from 3:30pm-9pm!
Wednesday is a 12:30pm dismissal day for all students in all grades, as the teachers put the finishing touches on their classrooms for Open House on Wednesday evening. The evening begins at 5:30PM with a free hot dogs and
hospitality for everyone, provided by our wonderful PFO.
The Book Fair is in the library, also beginning at 5:30pm. And while you’re at the library for the Book Fair, check out the GATE Showcase in the MPR, and the art show in Room 3. We have a lot of very talented students at Mesa—academically, artistically, and in leadership!
The next morning, after Open House, our Book Fair invites you to the “Dads & Grands” event. A free Krispy Kreme donut, juice, and coffee will be available for adults and their students who come together to shop the Book Fair from 7:45am-8:25am.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner/BBQ: Mesa fabulous volunteers are invited to the annual volunteer appreciation dinner this Thursday evening 5:30pm-7:30pm at Mesa. Enjoy a BBQ dinner prepared and served by Mesa’s teachers and staff.
Yearbook Sales: Most families pre-ordered their Mesa 2016-2017 yearbooks, and they will be distributed on Monday, June 5th through your student’s homeroom. We have a few yearbooks to sell if you didn’t pre-order, and we will be taking orders the evening of Open House starting 6:00pm in Ms. Poole’s class room.

La pasada ha sido un tiempo increíble. El Dia de la Granja fue un evento tremendamente exitoso y académicamente rico. De los pavos,puercos,cabras, abejas hasta los tractores antiguos y paletas heladas de kale…fue un dia que todos
disfrutamos, incluidos los alumnos de la Escuela Somis Union,la Academia Escolar Tritón y la Escuela Charter Golden Valley.
Muchas gracias a Mrs. Mckenna por organizar este evento durantes meses y a Mesa PFO por su apoyo y por proporcionar el desayuno y almuerzo para los expositores y voluntarios. Este Viernes por la tarde también es nuestra última noche de restaurante del año escolar. Reune a tus amigos en Chuck E Cheese en Ventura entre 3:30pm y 9:00pm!
El Miercoles es dia de salida temprano a las 12:30pm. Los maestros estarán dando los toques finales a sus salones para el Open House ese mismo dia por la tarde. Esta tarde comienza a las
5:30pm con hot dogs gratis proporcionados por la maravillosa PFO.
La Feria del Libro es en la biblioteca también a las 5:30pm. Aprovechando su visita a la Feria del Libro, por favor revise la exposición de GATE en el MPR. Tenemos muchos estudiantes con talento en Mesa tanto en lo académico, lo artístico y en liderazgo.
La mañana siguiente al Open House, nuestra Feria del Libro los invita al evento “Papás y Abuelos”. Una dona gratis Krispy Kreme, jugo y café estarán disponibles para adultos y sus estudiantes que vengan juntos a comprar a la Feria del Libro de 7:45am a 8:25am.
