Topic: True Christmas story

So first what does Christmas tell us:For me Christmas is a time when children roam the streets to carol, big fiestas, gifts and more. But the Christmas really tells us the birth of Jesus Christ, Our Savior. Mostly today, many people are not minding Jesus’ birth, they only mind the festivise.

Luke 2:20 (NIV)

“The shepherds returned Glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

Did you ever see a candy cane? A candy cane is a candy shaped like a staff, which shepherds use to show they are responsible of taking care of sheeps. Did you ever see a “parol”? A parol is a decoration shaped like a star. Did you ever see a Christmas tree? A Christmas tree is a tree filled with decorations with gifts beneath it. I metioned this things because this things represents the Baby in a mangger.

The Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree represents the shelter where they stayed. The shelter is the one that took care of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. If the shelter wasn’t available, what could have happened. Thank the Lord!

The Christmas star

The Parol represents the guide or God. The guide or God is the one who brought the three wise men or king, which bring gifts to worship and praise the Lord. If the star did not appear what gifts would be received.

The Christmas worship

The candy cane represents the shepherds. Why the shepherds? Because shepherds carry a stick or staff to guard the sheeps. The shepherds was called by angels in heaven. First, the shepherds were frightned then when they heard the news “a savior is born”. They shouted with joy and visited Jesus by also following the star. If the shepherds wasn’t able to hear the news, who were the ones to first worship Jesus.
