Login Ø Open the Meritstudents web application in your Internet Browser.

Register Ø Click on “Register” to create / register a new account.

Ø Fill all the Mandatory fields (*) and click on “Submit”. Ø Remaining fields are optional, but it’s advised to fill in the “Email”, so as to send

the Password Reset Link or to send the new password.

Forgot Password Ø Click on “Forgot Password?” link if you have forgotten your login password.

Ø Enter your “User ID” and “Email” and click on “Submit” to send the temporary

password to the email id. Ø Please note, Email Id entered should be the same as entered while registration. Ø If no email id was entered during registration, no password reset mail will be sent.

Hence please contact your System Administrator to reset your password.

Login to Home Ø Once logged in, “Test Center” page will open by default.

Ø Click on a “Test Type” to open the Test List window as shown below:

Ø Select a Test and click “Next” to open the start test window.

Start Test

Ø Click on “Start Test” to start / attempt the test. Ø If you had attempted a test before but the test did not complete due to unforeseen

reasons, then click on “Resume Test List”.

Resume Test List Ø To attempt an incomplete test, click on “Resume Test List”.

Ø Select the test and click “Next” to open the “Start Test” window. Ø To delete a test, select a test and click “Delete Test”. Ø If you want to attempt this test on a later date, then click “Skip for this Time”.

Attempting a Test Ø Choose an answer option and click on “Next” to move to the next question. Ø Click “Previous” to go back to the previous question.

Ø To mark a question, click “Mark Q” to open the below confirmation window:

Mark Question:

Ø To jump to another question directly, click on “Jump to Question” to open the

below window:

Jump to Question

Ø Click on a question number to jump to that specific question. Ø You can also Mark / Unmark a question from this window. Ø Attempted Column shows both attempted and Un-attempted questions. Ø To submit the test, click on “Submit” to open the confirmation window.

Submit Test Ø To submit the test, click on “Submit” to open the confirmation window. Ø While submitting a test, if any questions are marked, then they will be

displayed in the confirmation window as shown below:

Ø Click “No” if you want to review the questions again or to unmark the marked

questions. Ø If marked questions are attempted, then they will be taken into account for

calculating the marks. Ø Note: Test will auto-submit when Test time elapses. Ø On clicking “Yes” on submit test confirmation window, “Test Summary”

window will open.

Test Summary Ø Click on “Show Result” to view the result of the test given.

Ø Result can be viewed in three types of reports: · Chapter wise Analysis Report · Question Type Wise Analysis Report · Rank wise Analysis Report

Chapter wise Analysis Report Ø This report shows “No of Questions”, “Total Marks”, “Marks Obtained” and

“Percentage” obtained per chapter for all chapters in the test.

Ø To print the Test Results, click on “Print”. Ø Click on “Check Answers” to review your test.

Question Type Wise Analysis Report Ø This report shows “No of Questions”, “Total Marks”, “Marks Obtained” and

“Percentage” obtained on the different types of questions in the test.

Check Answers Ø Here you can check all the questions, answer given by user and the correct answer

of the question. Ø If an answer is right or wrong, Explanation might be provided.

Test Scores Ø To view all the appeared tests, click on “Test Scores” from the top menu.

Learning Concepts Ø Click on “Learning Concepts” from the top menu to open the below page:

Ø Choose a subject from “Subject” dropdown list. Ø Now choose / click a chapter from “Chapters” list. Ø Check the checkbox for “Auto play” and click on Play (>) to start the slideshow. Ø Note: This is an audio-visual slideshow. So please connect your headset / speaker.

My Profile Ø Click on “My Profile” from the top menu to open your user profile page.

Ø Click on “Edit” to make changes to your current / existing profile. Ø Once done, click on Save to save your changes.

Change Password Ø Click on “Change Password” from the top menu to open the below window:

Ø Enter your current password in the “Old Password” textbox. Ø Now enter your new password in the “New Password” textbox. Ø Re-enter the new password again in the “Confirm Password” textbox and click on

Save. Ø Click on “Logout” to log-off and close your current session.
