HITTING A HUNDRED: Boise State is the second-highest scoring team in the country averaging 91.9 points per game. Boise State scored at least 100 points in three of its first four games. Bose State has only hit triple digits four times in a season once (1974-75). The Broncos have scored at least 100 points 33 times in school history, eight of which have come under Leon Rice.

SPREADING THE wEAlTH: Five Broncos are averaging double-digit scoring through eight games. Anthony Drmic leads the way at 20.4 points per game and is joined in double figures by Derrick Marks (17.6), Jeff Elorriaga (13.3), Mikey Thompson (10.4) and Ryan Watkins (10.1).

A BEAST ON THE BOARDS: Ryan Watkins is now averaging 10.4 rebounds per game. This is the latest point in a season a Bronco has averaged at least 10 rebounds per game since Jason Ellis was averaging 10.0 rebounds per game entering Boise State’s game Jan. 17, 2004.

DOUBlE DOUBlE: Ryan Watkins is now averaging a double-double with his scoring average at 10.1 points per game. This is the latest point in a season a Bronco has averaged a double-double since at least the 1990-91 season (record of game-by-game statistics begins with the 1991-92 season). Only three times has a Boise State player averaged double-figure rebounds for an entire season, and only once has it happened since Boise State started competing at Division I (1970-71). Steve Wallace averaged 11.0 rebounds per game in 1971-72. Bill Otey averaged 17.3 in 1968-69 and 13.0 in 1969-70. Each also averaged double-figure scoring in those seasons and are the only Broncos to average a double-double at the end of a season.

NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT: Ryan Watkins has at least 10 rebounds in each of the last five games, becoming the first Bronco to record such a streak since Matt Nelson also had a streak of five-consecutive double-figure rebound games during the 2006-07 season (Jan. 20-Feb. 3).

BAcK FOR MORE: The Broncos are the only team from the 2013 NCAA Tournament to return all five starters...Boise State returns 92.4 percent of last season’s scoring output, 90 percent of the minutes played and 157 of 160 starts from 2012-13.

lIVING AT THE lINE: Derrick Marks made a school-record 21 free throws against Idaho (Nov. 27). Marks broke the previous record (20) on 23 attempts, the most by a Bronco since Tanoka Beard’s school-record 25 attempts Dec. 29, 1992, against George Mason. It is the most made free throws in a game in the NCAA this season...Boise State was 34-of-44 as a team in the game against the Vandals, the most makes and attempts since the Broncos were 35-of-55 against Cal Poly Jan. 31, 1995 (still the school record).

GETTING TO THE lINE: Boise State is making 22.9 free throws per game, the eighth-best mark in the country. The Broncos are averaging 30.4 free throw attempts per game, No. 19 in the NCAA. The school record for a season is 30.65 attempts per game, set in 1971-72.

THREE-POINT BARRAGE: Boise State ranks among the national leaders in three-pointers made per game (8.3, 36th) and three-point percentage (.402, 33rd). Jeff Elorriaga is averaging 3.7 made threes per contest, shooting .634, ranking 11th and second, respectively entering this week.

ROlE REVERSAl: Boise State defeated in-state rival Idaho, Wednesday, at CenturyLink Arena, 98-89. The Broncos scored 54 points in the paint and were 2-for-7 from three-point range. Boise State entered the game averaging 11.8 made three-pointers per game, third-most in the country. The seven attempts from beyond the arc were the fewest by a Leon Rice coached Bronco team. The 54 paint points were the most since Nov. 11, 2011 (62).

1,000-POINT clUB: Anthony Drmic became the 23rd Bronco to score 1,000 career points Saturday. Drmic reached the milestone in his 65th game, tied for sixth-fastest in school history. Follow the all-time list on page 10 as he continues to move up.

BAcK TO HIS OlD TRIcKS: Derrick Marks scored a career-high 39 points against Idaho (Nov. 27), with 27 coming in the second half. He scored all 15 of the Broncos’ points in the final 2:21, including going 13-of-14 from the free throw line. Last season, Marks scored 69 percent of his points in the second half of games, including five times with least 20+ after halftime.

THIEVERY: Boise State is averaging 9.4 steals per game, tops in the MW. Anthony Drmic (2.7 spg) and Derrick Marks (2.3 spg), first and second individually in the conference. The Broncos have turned those extra possessions into points on a consistent basis, outscoring opponents 151-62 on points off turnovers this season and 66-30 on fastbreak points. Boise State is averaging 1.31 points per possession that stems from an opponent turnover.

2012-13 NoTeS» POINTS ON POINTS ON POINTS30-POINT TEAMMATES: Of the eight players in the Mountain West with 30-point games in 2012-13, three were from Boise State. Additionally, five of the 15 30-point outings by MW players last season were by Broncos...Boise State was the third school in the country to have three 30-point scorers this season (Illinois State and Providence).

Derrick Marks had three 30-point games, tied for the second-most in the MW. He is one of just four players in school history to register three 30-point games in a single season. Two of the performances came during conference play, one of just three players in the MW with multiple 30-point games.

Included was a 38-point performance against Colorado State, tied for the fifth-highest scoring game in school history. Only 18 times had a Bronco scored more in an entire game than Marks scored in the second half (33). He also scored 35 against Creighton (Nov. 28) and 30 against Fresno State (Jan. 23).

Anthony Drmic (34; LSU) and Jeff Elorriaga (30; Corban) each also had a 30-point game.

Prior to last season, only two times had a pair of teammates accomplished the feat at Boise State - Pat Hoke and Steve Connor in both the 1974-75 and 1975-76 seasons, and Reggie Arnold and Ike Okoye in 2009-10.

MARKSMEN: The Broncos boasted the league’s top two 3-point shooters last season in Jeff Elorriaga and Anthony Drmic. Elorriaga led the MW in both 3-point field goals percentage (.447) and 3-point field goals per game (2.9). The marks ranked sixth- and 27th-nationally in each category, respectively. Drmic ranked second in 3-point field goal percentage (.392) and third in 3-point field goals made (2.5) in the conference. Drmic ranked 45th- and 65th-nationally in the two categories, respectively.

Boise State was one of just two teams in the NCAA with two of the country’s top-45 three-point shooters by percentage. Elorriaga and Drmic were joined by North Carolina’s Reggie Bullock (15th) and P.J. Hairston (42nd).

SINGlE-SEASON ScORING lIST: Anthony Drmic scored 565 points last season- just the 15th time in school history a player has eclipsed 500 points scored in a season, and the sixth-most in Boise State single-season history. TAKING cHARITY: The Broncos led the Mountain West in free throw percentage (.747), and ranked 25th-nationally.

Boise State was 26-of-26 from the free throw line against Fresno State Jan. 23, a school and conference record, and the best performance in the NCAA since Washington State went 28-for-28 against Oregon, Jan. 17, 2009. Boise State went 9-for-9 from the line against New Orleans Dec. 23, which at the time was the most attempted without a miss in school history, and the first perfect performance since going 5-for-5 against UTEP, March 5, 2005.

» GAMES FOR THE HISTORY BOOKSON THE BIGGEST STAGE: Anthony Drmic scored 28 points in his NCAA Tournament debut during Boise State’s 80-71 loss against La Salle. It is the most points by a Bronco in any postseason game and the sixth-most scored in the 2013 Tournament.

NcAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY: Last year’s selection to the NCAA Tournament was the first in school history for the Broncos as an at-large team. Boise State’s five previous selections came by virtue of winning the Big Sky Tournament in 1976, 1988, 1993 and 1994, and the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in 2008. Prior to 2013 season, Boise State had been to the NCAA Tournament just once in the previous 18 seasons (2008).

DOUBlE DIGIT TRIPlES: Jeff Elorriaga set a Boise State and Mountain West record with 10 3-pointers (10-for-16; .625) against Corban Dec. 30, eclipsing the previous school record of nine set by Abe Jackson against Gonzaga, Dec. 9, 2000.

He recorded the first game with 10-plus 3-pointers in the NCAA last season, and the most since Feb. 20, 2012 (11; Parker Smith, North Florida). In the past three seasons, only two players had made more 3-pointers in a game at the time of Elorriaga’s performance, and in the last 10 seasons, only 14 players had eclipsed Elorriaga’s total. Since the 3-point line was moved back prior to the 2008-09 season, Elorriaga’s performance was just the 23rd with 10-or-more 3-pointers.

A HISTORIc wIN: Boise State’s 83-70 win over No. 11/11 Creighton (Nov. 28) marked the highest-ranked opponent the team has defeated in school history, and just the sixth victory over a ranked team all-time. Marks scored in double figures in the second half 15 times. Included are five games with more than 20, and a 33-point second half against Colorado State, March 2. The Broncos’ 21 regular-season victories are tied for fourth-most in school history, and the most since 2007-08 (22). Boise State also won 22 games during the regular season in 1987-88 and 1988-89, and won 21 in 1986-87.
