Memorials
A memorial is something made to remind people of a significant person or event.
There are lots of different types of memorials. They can be statues,
monuments, buildings, stamps or money. There might be a special day named after someone, or a plaque on a building. Even
parks, streets and other objects can be named to remember a significant person.
Statues
Statues are made to look like the person they were made for. They are usually made from stone or metal.
