Types of filtration
Microfiltration: eliminates bacteria, spores, yeasts
▪ The concentration plants that we propose are made of sanitary polymeric spiral wound membranes; fully
pre-assembled on skid
▪ The plants will run in continuous, powered by a tank, that may be included in the supply
▪ The operation of the plants will be fully automatic, managed by a PLC (programmable logic controller) with
touch screen used by the operator
▪ The pressure and loop pumps will be managed by an inverter to reduce energy consumption and to avoid
absorption peaks
▪ At the end of the concentration cycle, the membranes washing will be carried out automatically, using the
vat installed on the plant side
▪ The detergents loading is carried out through specific dosing pumps controlled by a conductivity meter (all
included in the supply), while the pH-meter (also included in the supply) will determine the correct execution
of the washings and will control the pH during the concentration phase

Ultrafiltration: concentrates proteins by reducing lactose
Nanofiltration: concentrates all elements by reducing water and salts
Reverse Osmosis: concentrates all elements by reducing water

✓ Concentration of proteins for the production of WPC60 – WPC80 powder proteins
✓ Reduction of the storage volume of whey and scotta, lowering storage, trasportation and
disposal costs
✓ Increasing of the nutritional values of the concentrate for eventual use in the area of
"animal" nutrition

valves, reagents proportioning pumps, conductivity meter, pH-meter
