• Associate with 12+ members years
• Associates with a PE license
• To advance:
– Update member bio online
– Send an email to [email protected] indicating an interest in membership advancement
Membership AdvancementWho should I encourage to advance?
Students
• Student members who are no longer enrolled as full-time students
must transfer (SmartStart) to Associate
• Students interested in transferring: www.ashrae.org/smartstart
Affiliates
• Affiliate membership is limited to three years
• Is for members age 30 and younger
• Automatically transferred to Associate after the three year term
• Affiliates can change to Associate early

– Required to pay the balance difference of the two memberships

• New members: join online and select ‘DC’ option• Print application at ‘Join ASHRAE’ online
