Yes, we are repeating ourselves, but it is of the utmost importance that you read this installation guide thoroughly.

• Fire hazardsDo's. Install the heaters correctly. Incorrect installation may cause fire hazards.Don'ts. Never cover the heaters, this causes fire hazards.Checks. Check if the upward circulating hot air can escape freely. If not, apply suitable measures such as heat reflective plates or a fireproof canvas. Overheating of the wood leads to fire hazards.

• InstructionsSeriously! Make sure electrical connections are made by a qualified electrician only.Connect the infrared control unit in accordance with the wiring diagram.Check if all connectors are securely connected before using the control unit.Make sure the requirements in accordance with EN 60335-2-53 (VDE 0700 Part 53) in the infrared cabin are respected.Promise to not exceed the maximum number of infrared heaters in the cabin. You can check this with the cabin manufacturer.Operate and control the infrared heater(s) solely with the designated control unit. Makes sense, doesn't it?

• SupervisionDo not leave people with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities unsupervised when they use the heaters/cabin.Keep children away from infrared heaters or an infrared cabin. Trust us, the buttons are very appealing to them. • HealthAvoid the use of full-spectrum infrared when you're under the influence of alcohol or sedatives.Avoid the use of full-spectrum infrared within 24 hours of a natural or artificial tanning.Avoid the use of full-spectrum infrared if you have limited sensory abilities.When in doubt, or if there is a risk of you getting overheated, for example if you have heart/blood circulation problems, always consult your doctor/specialist.Consult your doctor/specialist if there are signs of prolonged erythema (redness persisting on the skin longer than 24 hours) to prevent erythema ab igne (EAI, also known as toasted skin syndrome).

Using XIOMARA & ECIRA

• Spa experiences everywhereDid you know? You do not need an enclosed room. Our IR heaters are very suitable for an arrangement in an open space. Thanks to the short-wave infrared radiation, the deep heating effect always has the same intensity and depth, whether the heater is placed in a heat cabin, bathroom, office space or an open arrangement.

• Top qualityThe promise we make: Every day we strive to do as much as we can ourselves, from designing and drawing to the assembly and testing of our products. Naturally we also make sure our products are tested by recognized attorities. This is how you will always receive infrared products from us that are technically sound in every detail and meet the highest safety standards.

• Recommended distances of use350 Watts heater: 15 - 25 cm. Ideal for the back or lower legs.500 Watts heater: 40 - 50 cm. Especially for the back.750 Watts heater: 60 - 80 cm. Suitable as front body heater.1300 Watts heater: 90 - 110 cm. Excellent as ceiling heater.

• Please noteDo not look directly into the light of the infrared heaters for (too) long. Close your eyes or use protective glasses.Some medication has an influence on the sensitivity of the skin and how it responds to heat. When in doubt, always consult your doctor/specialist.If you want to clean the heaters, always unplug it from the electrical outlet first. This may sound a bit patronizing, but we are surprised at how often these instructions are disregarded.

• Install Xiomara and Ecira full-spectrum infrared heaters solely in accordance with these instructions. This prevents overheating of the products and their surroundings.

• Always make sure that the air circulation is sufficient, this will significantly extend the life of your infrared heaters.

• Use 3 x 1.5 square millimetres connecting cable per heater. Special plugs are supplied with the heaters.

• Use a double-pole switch-off with a minimal contact distance of 3 millimetres for the installation.

• For installations in wet areas such as bathrooms, use splash proof infrared heaters (IPX4) only.

• Always mount IR heaters vertically with the sockets at the bottom.

General Installation

Options for integral installation of full-spectrum infrared heaters

• Installation on wall or ceilingIt is possible to install the heaters on the wall or ceiling during and after the construction of a cabin. The Xiomara and Ecira heaters cover the hole for the frame and thus also serve as finishing. An additional benefit is that the heaters occupy very little space in the cabin. • Quick Installation on wall or ceilingQuick installation on wall is suitable for the Xiomara RO and 5000 series. Quick installation on ceiling is only suitable for the Xiomara 5000 series. Installation on the wall or ceiling is the quickest way to mount infrared heaters and a good solution if there is not much space behind the wall or ceiling. The disadvantage is that the heaters occupy a bit more space in the cabin.

• Integral installation in wall or ceiling It is possible to install the heaters into the wall or ceiling during and after the construction of a cabin. This is what makes this type of installation extremely suitable for integral installation in (existing) combi cabins. Our heaters can be used excellently in the isolated wall of a sauna cabin. Please note that good air circulation is of the utmost importance when integrating a heater.

• Corner installationInstalling a heater in a corner is often the most efficient way to use the corners in a cabin or room. Create a frame and mount it in the corner. Leave the top and bottom open, thus automatically creating sufficient air circulation.

• Air circulation for integral wall installation

Small openingMake sure there is an aperture of 10 millimetres above and below the heater for air circulation.

Ventilation holesCreate ventilation holes above and below the heater(s) for air circulation.

Air passageApply an air passage behind the wall of the cabin, from front to back or from top to bottom, for air circulation.

• Air circulation for integral ceiling installation

When a heater is mounted into the ceiling, the dissipation of heat is extra important. Always keep a minimum distance of 20 millimetres between the back of the heater(s) and the ceiling. Make sure there is an aperture of 10 millimetres above and below the heater(s) and create ventilation holes above and below the heater(s) or install an air passage behind the wall of the cabin, from front to back or from top to bottom, for air circulation.

Large installationMake sure there is a distance of at least 20 centimetres between the infrared heaters when you install more than one. Always make sure the mains connections are at the bottom.

Front and back installationAre you installing the infrared heathers at the front and the back of a seat? Mount the heater at the back at the top of the seat facing upwards, and the heater at the front at chin height facing downwards.

Air circulation for infrared heaters

The 350, 500 and 750 Watts Xiomara and Ecira heaters are suitable for a closed installation into the wall. The 1,300 Watts infrared heaters are exclusively designed for installation into the ceiling.

Installation distance of infrared heaters

Xiomara ROThe Xiomara RO series consists of full-spectrum infrared heaters of 350, 500 and 750 Watts. All RO heaters are always equipped with a plug and a connection socket.

Xiomara 5000The Xiomara RO series consists of full-spectrum infrared heaters of 350, 500 and 1,300 Watts. The 300, 500 and 750 Watts heaters are always equipped with a plug and a connection socket. The 1,300 Watts heaters are equipped with a power cord of 4 meter. All IPX4 emitters are equipped with a 4 meter cord.

EciraThe Ecira MI series consists of full-spectrum infrared heaters of 350, 500 and 750 Watts and are always equipped with a power cord of 3 meter.

The Xiomara RO 350, 500, 750 Watts heaters consist of the following parts: Heater with halogen lamp;Housing for integral installation;Plug and connection socket.

The Xiomara RO 500K (short) consists of the following parts:Heater with halogen lamp;Housing for integral installation;Plug and connection socket.

Preparations for installing Xiomara RO

Make the following preparation prior to installation:

1) Detach the housing as follows: lift the two springs at the back upwards and lift the cover.2) Slide the heater upwards as much as possible and then tilt it forward to detach it from the enclosure.3) Create the necessary frame of 850 (height) x 160 (width) millimeters in which the heater will be mounted. See image.

Installing Xiomara RO

You are now ready to install Xiomara RO:1) Place the enclosure into the frame and secure it with 6 screws.2) Connect the heater with the supplied plug and connection socket.3) Place the bottom bracket of the heater in the enclosure.4) Place the upper bracket of the heater in the enclosure and make sure the heater

is completely vertical.5) Push the heater down into the enclosure until you hear it click.6) The heater is now ready for use. Naturally, you should test the soothing warmth

yourself. ;-)

The Xiomara 5000 350, 500, 750 Watts heaters consist of the following parts:Heater with halogen lamp;Housing for integral installation;Plug and connection socket.

The Xiomara 5000 1,300 Watts heater consists of the following parts:Heater with halogen lamp;Housing for integral installation;Power cord of 4 meter.

Preparations for installing Xiomara 5000

Make the following preparation prior to installation:

1) Detatch the housing from the infrared heater (unscrew the 4 screws in the corners).

2) Create the necessary frame of 870 (height) x 158 (width) millimetres in which the heater will be mounted. See image.

Preparations for installation ECIRA

Make the following preparation prior to installation:

1) The Ecira MI is now ready for integral installation. Do you have an Ecira MI with a grid? Remove the grid first.

2) Create the necessary frame of 702 (height) x 142 (width) millimetres in which the heater will be mounted. See image.

The Ecira MI heaters of 350, 500 and 750 Watts consist of the following parts:Heater including halogen lamp and housing for integral installation;Power cord of 3 meters.

Installing Ecira MI

1) Connect the heater with the power cord.2) Place the heater in the frame.3) Secure it with 6 screws.4) The heater is now ready for use. 5) Do you have an Ecira MI with a grid? Replace the grid now. Naturally, you

should test the soothing warmth yourself. ;-)

If you like, you can finish the Ecira MI heater. You could e.g. add a wooden frame around the heaters. In this case, make sure there is at least 3 millimetres room between the wood and the heater. Never cover the glass.

Place a safety grid or a seat in front of the Ecira MI heaters. The minimal distance for use (measured from the glass) is 40 millimetres.

Make sure there is at least 15 millimetres room between the wood and the back of the heater.

Xiomara and Ecira give a 5 year warranty on all our infrared heaters and drivers. However, our love is not completely unconditional. The warranty is only valid when the heaters are installed in accordance with the installation guide. And when all heaters are controlled by CE-certified timers. We recommend the use of Xiomara timers in particular.

Please noteDefects or damages caused by unconventional use, are also excluded from the warranty. The start date of the warranty period is the registration date of the invoice from the cabin manufacturer.Prerequisite for this is the submission of the original invoice. The warranty period is not extended or renewed by warranty claims. If the heater is defective, please return it directly to the sauna dealer or to us and send us an email as soon as possible (at least within 30 days) and photos of defects or faults.
