Expectations about homework
• Teachers will write down the homework in homework column at side of whiteboard.
• Pupils to copy down the homework in their handbooks.
• Teachers to include deadlines for the assigned homework.
• Expect all pupils to complete their homework and hand it in on time.

• Attendance - Attend school regularly, absence must be accompanied by a medical certificate
• Attention - Paying attention in class, being present in body and mind, desired or expected behaviour
• Assignment - Hand in assignments on time / Handwriting / Neatness / Following instructions / Taking pride in doing good work
• Attitude – Positive mindset and attitude (Willing to learn, asking for permission before leaving the class, queuing up, walking down the stairs, respect for others – teachers and peers, greeting teachers, keeping the classroom clean, safety of self & others)

To improve on Solving Maths Short Answer Questions • Read and comprehend the question carefully
– underlining the key words and Mathematical information (e.g. numbers/fractions) given.
• Always show the working (Paper 1). – Method marks will be awarded if the methods used are
correct even if the final answers are wrong. • Exercise patience and self-discipline while doing
Mathematics questions. – Be organized in showing all the steps of the required
workings. Do not skip any steps just to be fast.

• Topic discussion – Pupils are required to converse with the examiner based on a given topic with grammatical accuracy. Pupils may elaborate by giving examples, descriptions or their personal experiences.
