East Coast Collegiate Swim & Dive Club National Championships April 10 – April 12, 2015
LOCATION: Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Center, 750 Ferst Dr., Atlanta, GA 30332
FACILITY: Two Ten-‐Lane 25-‐yard competition pools with starting block at starting end. The average depth of the pool is 10 feet, with non-‐turbulent lane lines and an Omega Ares timing system coupled with a Darktronics Venus 7000 scoreboard. There is a 4-‐lane 25 yard warm down pool available in the diving well when both pools are in use.
The diving well has 3 – 1m and 3 – 3m spring boards, as well as 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m, and 10m platforms for diving competition.
The facility has seating for approximately 2,000 spectators.

RULES:
ECC Nationals will follow USA Swimming rules and regulations. A copy of the rule book can be found on USA Swimming’s website. USA Swimming officials will be onsite to ensure compliance. USA Swimming rules prohibit the use of illegal Technical Suits in competition.
United States Masters & USA Swimming Recognition:
This championship meet is officially recognized by United States Masters Swimming and USA Swimming. Swimmers are not required to be members. Time achieved at this event may be considered for USMS national records and Top Ten times for USMS members, and qualification for other USA Swimming Events. Swimmers wishing to have their times must submit their USMS ID# or USA Swimming ID when submitting their entries.

ENTRY DEADLINE: FRIDAY, March 27, 2015 @ 11:59PM EST (SWIMMING) The Meet Director will supply each team with a Hy-‐Tek template for the meet entry. Meet entries in Hy-‐Tek format is required, non Hy-‐Teck Entry will incur a $200 penalty fee. Meet entries are to be submitted no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on FRIDAY, March 27th. All entry times should be made in short course yards.

A psych sheet will be made available no later than one week prior to the start of the meet. It is the responsibility of each team to review the psych sheet, ensure all entries are correct, and notify the Meet Director if there are changes as soon as possible. Please do not wait until you have arrived at the meet to notify the Meet Director of changes. It will be rejected.
ENTRY FEES:
Championship fees are determined by roster size. Each team will pay $15.00 per swimmer up to 30 swimmers. An additional $5 per swimmer per team will be required above 30 swimmers. Each team will pay $3 per relay entry.
Diving Fee is $25 per diver if registered in the early registration. There is a $25 late fee for all registration after the early deadline.
All fees must be paid before the start of the meet at the coaches meeting. Checks should be made payable to “Georgia Tech Swim Club”. A receipt will be provided.
ATHELETE ELIGIBILITY:
An athlete is eligible to participate in the meet and score points if they meet all the following criteria:
1. Athlete is a member in good standing for a club affiliated with a University or College. (The individual club defines Membership.)
2. Athlete is enrolled as a full-‐time or part-‐time undergraduate or graduate student in the current academic term or a full-‐time co-‐op student in the current term.
3. Athlete is not receiving athletic scholarship for the current academic year. 4. Athlete meets the NCAA Amateurism eligibility standard.
Any other athlete is eligible to participate in the meet as an exhibition athlete only if they meet criteria #1. Exhibition athletes may bot be part of a point-‐scoring relay (A relay), and may not quality for Final.
EVENT LIMITATION:
Each athlete is eligible to swim Five (5) individual events. There is no limit on number of relay entries; however only “A” relays will be scored. Each athlete is only allowed to swim on one relay team per relay event. Divers are allowed to swim individual and relay swimming events if they choose to at no additional cost provided the diver has paid the diving entry fees. Swimmers can also choose to participate in diving events; however, they must pay the diving fees.
INSURANCE WAIVER:
Each time is required to sign insurance waivers in order to participate. This waiver will be made available to the teams prior to the start of the meet. Every athlete that registers for the meet must read and sign the waiver.

TIME STANDARDS:
Time standards have been established for the distance events (500/1000 Freestyle) to help keep the timeline of the meet. Please submit hy-‐tek print out of meet results that support the swimmer’s qualifying time when submitting entries for these two events. Time standards qualifying period is from March 30, 2013 to the entry deadline.
Entries submitted without proof of time will be rejected. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Diving competition is prelim/final format. Each diver will perform 6 dives per round that represents all 5 dive categories. Top 10 divers from prelim sessions will participate in finals, with prelim/final cumulative score determining final standing.

Except in timed final events, points for first through tenth place shall be awarded solely on the basis of a championship final. Points for 11th through 20th place shall be awarded solely on the basis of a consolation final. Only three (3) swimmers per team are allowed to score in any individual events. If more than three simmers qualify for finals and consolations, they will place according to their finish. The points associated with these places are forfeited and no teams will receive them. Only one relay per team will score points, all other relays are exhibition and placement is made according to the swims of top finishing relays.
