Style of Photography

The magazines that l have researched tend to have there photo’s taken in s studio format. The simplicity of this format allows attention to be drawn onto the model this connotes freshness and a sense of admire ability to the models.

The backgrounds are usually plain however some backgrounds have patterns on them, in these cases the model is usually someone who’s been in the public eye for a long time, so a plain background emphasising them wouldn’t matter as much as someone who’s new to the music industry.

What l want to do

The actual location doesn’t matter in my magazine, the only thing that is important whilst taking the photo is having decent lighting. The reason for this is that l have chosen to go for plain backgrounds to emphasise the models, since they’re never before seen artists they need to be noticed and to send a good message about who they are and what they do.

To make it easy to edit l shall take the images of the models against already plain background, so it doesn’t become difficult to edit them onto my magazine.

I will do a range of shots and angles to go on my front cover, contents and double page spread.
