Learning aimsAll to have completed & up to date foldersAll to be able to discuss the main facets of a successful sitcomMost to be able to outline their characters for the new sitcomSome to be able to demonstrate an episode and character outline for series one of their sitcomStarter – write a fifty-word biography of one of the sitcom regulars below describing their main characteristics
Deadline – your folders must be up to date by the end of this week – 15 March
• Unit 7 • Assignment 1 – print production technologies• Assignment 2a - Printed product mind map, Powerpoint pitch and draft
leaflet• Assignment 2b - Completed printed product leaflet• Assignment 2c – Questionnaire & evaluation report
• Unit 5• Assignment 1 - Storyboard, shooting script, permission letters,
equipment lists• Assignment 2 - Production diary from your role’s point of view • Assignment 3 - Shooting log (with edits required) & completed video • Assignment 4 - Report evaluating your video
• I also expect your folder to be neat, tidy; All scrappy work to be re-written; Everything on A4 size paper or folded down to A4; Units to have title pages at the front.
Logistics & extension• Resources for folder completion time:– Monday & Thursday in Room 10– Tuesday and Friday in CR1
• When you complete this, for the rest of the week work on your plan for the new sitcom. Please produce:– A completed advert (started outdoors last week) showing the
title/logo and graphics used to advertise the show– A character fact file – you should aim for a small number of
regular characters and a slightly larger number of others – what are their characteristics?
– A pitch ready to give to TV executives with plot outlines for the pilot show and all six episodes of the first series – what main things happen? Where? What results?
