• Schinnerer is based in Chevy Chase, MD with offices in California and Texas
• Schinnerer underwrites over 55,000 policies a year
• Along with the AIA and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), Schinnerer developed the first professional liability policy for the design industry. In 2007 Schinnerer’s Architects & Engineers program celebrated their 50th Anniversary

OVERVIEW Victor O. Schinnerer & Company, Inc., is one of the largest and most experienced underwriting managers of professional liability and specialty insurance programs in the world. At Schinnerer, underwriting management has been a distinct discipline for over five decades.
Our expertise lies in evaluating risks, implementing program marketing, developing and executing risk management activities and servicing accounts on behalf of our insurance company partners. We then distribute these products through our distribution network of licensed agents and brokers.

One of the largest and most experienced underwriting managers of professional liability and specialty insurance programs in the world.
As an underwriting manager, Schinnerer administers programs on behalf of several carriers, providing underwriting services, claims administration and customer service. We distribute these programs through a network of over 9,600 active independent brokers, who, in turn, provide their industry niche clients with our specialty products.
We offer coverages for architects and engineers, contractors, environmental consultants, forest management, non-profit organizations, public entities, real estate professionals, technology consultants and persons with kidnap and ransom exposures and many others.
Schinnerer exclusively writes business insurance. Although our focus is on professional liability, we may offer other coverages in certain programs. These can include property and casualty coverages, directors and officers liability, employment practices and fiduciary liability insurance.
We are currently working with ACE, Chartis, Chubb Specialty Insurance, CNA, Great American Insurance Company and Scottsdale.
