Linking words (1) Problem:

First, let’s look into the problem in greater details before we could come up with any suggestions to solve the case.

I am sure all of you would have been aware that … It is obvious that we are now facing a grave

problem. “Apparently a lot of people are complaining that

news reporters are no longer as professional as they used to use. It is not uncommon to see exaggerated news emphasizing violence and sex. Besides, some even include offensive photographs.”

Linking words (2) Reasons / effects/ consequences:

There are three reasons behind the problem.

I have identified three reasons to explain the situation.

Suggestions: I am sure the government should … It is about time for the government did something

quick to fix the problem. If the government could do this, that would

happen. Unless the government could do something quick,

there would not be any change observed. “I would suggest the media adopt stricter

guidelines for reporters and their companies to protect the privacy of all individuals.”
