Tarn McConville Bachelor of Software Engineering
I like that the softwareengineering degree still has anelement of design and you getto work alongside game artists
on the final project, which was a big drawcard. I looked at a lot of options at otheruniversities and couldnt find a software engineeringdegree that had the right balance of creativity and
programming that this degree offers.
STUDENT VOICE
Ben Carnall Bachelor of SoftwareEngineering
After one year in the course I felt like I could surpass friendswho are studying in their third
year of a software engineeringdegree at other universities.
Learning software engineering within a game programming context is an advantage because it is the most complex.
Martin Hernblad Bachelor of Art and Design
The tutors are experienced
industry professionals and you spend every day doing things relevant to your field of study. You dont waste time. Every
moment furthers my goal to work in the industry.
Amy Harman Bachelor of Software Engineering
I enjoy being surrounded by like-minded people myclassmates are awesome and
I like the teaching style and structure.
Jimmy Vea Bachelor of Media DesignGraduate of Diploma in Digital Creativity
I came here not knowing anything about a computer and
within six months in the Diploma of Digital Creativity I was acomputer genius with a broad
knowledge of design programmes. It is because thecourse is so hands on, practical and industry based Icould quickly apply what I learned.
Emma Wang Bachelor of Art and DesignGraduate of Diploma in Digital Creativity
The Diploma in Digital Creativity lets you try lots of things in onecourse. I started out with an
interest in graphic design and, the more I learned, the more I moved towards 3D. I also liked working in a team to combine all of the elements we have learned into acampaign for a television show.

Living in New Zealand was ablast nice landscape, wildlifeand beaches really close to you where ever you are. I could spendmy Christmas break on the beach with friends anda guitar. It is a nice contrast to the six-hour-longDecember days and -20 degrees of coldness that Ihave back home.
Once enrolled, international students recieve guidance on settling in from our full-timeStudent Services Manager. Social events are organised throughout the year to give allstudents and opportunity to meet and network with each other.

When I first arr ived in NewZealand it felt like paradise on Earth. Its stunning natural beauty, high quality of li fe, great work-life balance, world class cities, a free economyand a fr iendly, welcoming society are all factors that, inmy opinion, make New Zealand one of the best placesto study, work and live.
