BookFLIX titles now available in ERES

(INFOhio E-Resource database)

• Available through your online catalog in the main catalog only –

not in Cat Jr.

• Available in Discovery Portal on the Elementary Level only, as our contract with Scholastic does not permit advertised access for students above elementary K-6 grades.

Using CAT:

1)Make sure that the checkbox to include eBooks is checked.

2) Do a title search for a BookFLIX title.  Ex: "bark George“

3) Along the right side, in the results list for INFOhio Videos and eBooks, you should see the "Bark, George" title listed.  4) Click on it... which will display its record in the ERES catalog.      a) If your IP is not authenticated (ex: accessing from home), you will have to first provide a valid U/P... it can be either the state U/P or a district specific U/P.

5) From the ERES display, click on the little green guy "Read It Now" image to bring up the specific title pair directly in BookFlix.

Using Discovery Portal (DP):To be in compliance with our Scholastic licensing agreement, BookFLIX titles will NOT display in the Middle or High school portals.

In DP, BookFLIX titles are only searchable in the following portals:  Elementary, Literature Guide, Parents, Educators and Librarian portals.

1) Go into one of the valid DP portals for BookFLIX searching.       a) If your IP is not authenticated (ex: accessing from home), you will have to first provide a valid U/P...it can be either the state U/P or a district specific U/P.

2) Do either an "Everything" search or specifically search the INFOhio eResource Collection for a BookFLIX title:  ex:  "bark George“

3) Find the title on the results list and bring up the title pair in BookFLIX by:      a) Clicking on the little green guy "Read It Now" image OR b) Clicking on the title, then clicking on the little green guy
