Many teens are using drugs. Definition: A drug is any substance that, when absorbed

into the body of a living organism, alters normal bodily function. It is also, a substance used as medication or in the preparation of medication. Drugs are even used in dyeing or chemical operations.

Statistic: Illicit teen drug use as of 2011 8th grade- 30.4% 10th grade – 44.9% 12th grade – 52.8%

When teens get involved in sports: Soccer Lacrosse Basketball Football Volleyball When they are influenced by their best friends or family

members. “ Teens use drugs because they want to fit in with the

crowd, they don’t want to be teased about not trying drugs. They want to show bullies they aren’t scared to try drugs for the first time.”

A 2009 survey stated 20% of teens say they have taken a prescription drug without a doctor’s prescription.

I will be attending River Hill High School.

I researched the Emergency Medical Technician Academy.

I picked this academy because I want to be a cardiologist when I grow up. It is my dream job and it pays a lot.

It’s located in Chestnut Hill, MA The yearly tuition is $54,528 Students are required to take civil

procedure, constitutional law, contracts, properties, criminal law, reasoning, and writing. This also includes traditional courses as well.

The mascot is an eagle.
