Government knew that renovating the pier will be able to attract more people into Singapore, subsequently increasing investments and the economy.

• The ‘eco-friendly’ structure uses solar energy to power itself. People standing underneath it will activate the giant fan and will be provided with a shade and a cool area to stand under in the hot weather of Singapore.• Anticipate Change and Stay Relevant- As

Singapore have to rely on others for sources, the government have to save energy usage as much as possible. The giant solar fan is also used as an attraction.
