PARISH NEWS We continue to serve our parish family during the current Coronavirus

restrictions. Masses are opened to the public effective June 6th and 7th with

some restrictions, for details, see page 3.

The Church facilities, including the Adoration Chapel are not open to the public at this

time, but we will continue to live-stream all our Masses and Adoration hours.

Beginning June 8 Confessions will be held:

Monday - Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m.

The church office is open during regular office hours:

Monday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

All parishioners must wear a mask. Please, if you are feeling sick,

coughing, sneezing, stay home and instead call us at 956-722-6215.

Sunday bulletins will be available in a box in front of the office, or online at our

website. Please monitor our website at www.stpatricklaredo.org for more

announcements. Let us take to heart these beautiful words of St. Padre Pio:

A partir del sábado, Junio 6, las misas en la Diócesis de Laredo nuevamente están abiertas al público, pero con algunas restricciones. En la página 3 encontrará los detalles. Aunque por ahora, las instalaciones de la iglesia y la Capilla de Adoración continúan cerradas al público, seguiremos transmitiendo en vivo todas nuestras misas y horas de adoración. Masses to Resume on Restricted Basis June 6th

Bishop Tamayo has announced that on the evening of Saturday, June 6, 2020, public celebration of Masses in Laredo may begin again on a restricted basis. The Dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation continues for everyone in the Diocese of Laredo. Therefore, those who, at this time, do not choose to attend public Sunday Mass do not commit sin. In particular, people with symptoms associated with COVID-19, people with underlying health conditions, the elderly, pregnant women, and those that have been in close proximity with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 should remain at home. We will do our best to disinfect the church after each Mass. Cleaning and social distancing practices continue to lessen the risk of potential contact with the virus, but do not completely eliminate the risk. Those entering the church must understand that they assume this risk whenever they enter a public place. Bishop Tamayo asks that for nine consecutive days, beginning May 29th, all Catholics and people of good will offer prayers for the Church as we seek to safely and prudently return to our parish churches. For the health and safety of all, please observe the following rules at Masses at this time:

•Masks must be used by anyone over the age of 2 entering the church, except for ministers in the sanctuary. The mask should only be removed for the brief moment of receiving Holy Communion.

•Please avoid touching anything in the church. Bring your own hand sanitizer, if possible, to be used whenever necessary.

•Those attending Mass must maintain 6 feet of distance from others, except that those living in the same household may sit together. Also, those who will be receiving Holy Communion can come closer than six feet to the minister for the brief moment of receiving Holy Communion.

•Holy Communion will be distributed at the end of Mass, after the final blessing. People will be called forward row by row. After receiving Communion, they are to leave the church and go to their cars. Please do NOT stay to socialize inside or outside the church.

•Those receiving Holy Communion are strongly encouraged to receive in their hands. Please do not wear gloves while receiving Communion in the hand. Masks should be removed only at the time of receiving Holy Communion.

Se Reanudarán en Junio 6 las Misas con Algunas Restricciones El obispo Tamayo ha anunciado que la noche del sábado 6 de junio de 2020, la celebración pública de misas en Laredo puede comenzar nuevamente por fases, con restricciones. La dispensación de la obligación de asistir a Misa los domingos y días de obligación continúa para todos en la Diócesis de Laredo. Por lo tanto, aquellos que, en este momento, eligen no asistir a la Misa pública dominical, no cometen pecado. En particular, las personas con síntomas asociados con COVID-19, las personas con condiciones médicas pre-existentes, los ancianos, las mujeres embarazadas y aquellos que han estado muy cerca de las personas que salieron con resultado positivo para COVID-19 deben permanecer en sus hogares. • Por favor, evite tocar cualquier cosa en la Iglesia. Si es posible, traiga su propio desinfectante de manos para usarlo cuando sea necesario.

• Los que asisten a Misa deben mantenerse a 6 pies de distancia de los demás, excepto los que viven en el mismo hogar pueden sentarse juntos. Además, aquellos que recibirán la Sagrada Comunión pueden acercarse más de 6 pies al ministro por solo un breve momento, al recibir la Sagrada Comunión.

• La Sagrada Comunión se distribuirá al final de la Misa, después de la bendición final. Las personas serán llamadas a que ordenadamente pasen adelantete por orden de banca. Después de recibir la comunión , deben abandonar la Iglesia e ir a sus autos. NO se queden ni adentro, ni afuera de la Iglesia para socializar.

• Aquellos que recibíran la Sagrada Comunión se les recomienda que la reciban en sus manos. NO use guantes mientras recibe la comunión en la mano. Las máscaras deben quitarse solo al momento de recibir la Sagrada Comunión.

First Holy Communions Saturday, June 13, 2020 Masses: 10 am & 12:00 pm

Since we continue to adhere to social distancing practices, we can only use half of our pews inside the church. The children receiving First Holy Communion, and the household with whom they live, will be seated first in the church. Then, others will be seated in the church and in the parish hall, until both are filled. The Masses will be live-streamed so that they can be watched from any computer. Masks must be worn by all entering the church and the parish hall. If any questions, please contact our CCD Director, Mr. Javier Compean at cre@stpatricklaredo.org, or call the parish office.
