Tavelli Elementary
Mission Statement
Tavelli Elementary is a school of
academics, character and
wellness. Our mission is to
ENGAGE students for
academic and social success.
We will
INSPIRE a community of diverse learners
through collaboration and
accountability
so our children will
SUCCEED in a global society.
Happy May!
As we come to the close of another school year, we would like to reflect upon all the challenges, accomplishments, and new learning opportunities of our wonderful Tavelli students.
First, thanks to all of you for sharing your children with us. This last year we have all had a steep learning curve as we worked together to learn remotely. I want to thank our teachers, staff, students, and families for coming together and making the best of a very hard situation. I am in awe of how hard we worked together this year in helping our students learn. The partnership created through this year has been truly incredible.
In addition, we would like to thank all our parents for communicating and keeping children home when they did not feel well. This was instrumental in keeping our students in school and learning during a pandemic. I am so proud of our students for their grit as they navigated our school protocols, wearing masks and cohorting with their class. We know that this year has been difficult, but our Tigers were truly amazing.

As we finish the year, we are trying to bring some normalcy to our school with the 19th Annual Duathlon, Walkathon, Book Fair, and our 5th grade promotion. Even though these events look different than past years’, our goal is to provide these traditional school opportunities for our students as we finish the year.
As we look forward to next year, we will be communicating with our families late in the summer on what protocols will be in place for the 2021-22 school year.
Enjoy this last month of school. Have a wonderfully fun-filled and safe summer.
See you in the fall.

The Designs and Images art exhibition has a 40+ year long tradition that showcases the visual arts in Poudre School District. Because of the global pandemic, this year has been like no other. Students and teachers are facing many challenges, but the visual arts at PSD are as vibrant and valid as ever. The Designs and Images Art Show will adapt, so for 20-21 we will go virtual. We want to highlight the resilience of our art students and teachers and celebrate why art matters. Please join us in partnership with the CSU Hatton Gallery for a virtual snapshot of art making during 2020-21.
Please make a point to click the link and check out this art show with your friends and family, to check out all the amazing student artwork in PSD.
