• Invitation to certified/awarded accommodation businesses to present their environmental innovations and contributions to the “12 aims for sustainable tourism”(WTO & UNEP)

• Involvement of more than 20 eco-labels and awards for tourism in Europe

• 60 applications in 5 categories from 15 countries nominated by their certificates and then pre-assessed

• International jury selected 22 finalists and the winners in 5 categories

• Ceremony at the 2nd International Rhodes Tourism Forum „Competitiveness through sustainability: opportunities & challenges for the Mediterranean Destinations“ (10-11 Nov. 2006)
