(b) the maximum shearing stress in shaft AB

plate supported by a solid steel post of

radius a = 40 mm. Knowing that P = 100 kN

determine the maximum stress in the post

when

(a) all the forces are applied.

(b) the force at D is removed.

(c) the forces at C and D are removed.
