Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine

A minimum of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units from an accredited college or university.

A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

In addition to the 60 semester units required for admission, you must complete a minimum of 2 semester units each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Psychology with a “C” (2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale) grade or higher. This may be done prior to matriculation or within one calendar year after starting the MAOM program at SCU.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

Radiology Lab: Learn how to understand and interpret films with our basic radiology and imaging courses.

On-Campus Anatomy Lab: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire human body and how to treat the whole person. (SCU is the only AOM program on the West Coast offering an on-campus anatomy lab). We are the only AOM program in the United States with the 3D digital Anatomage Table.

Herb Garden: Learn to prescribe the right herbal medicines to your patients by cultivating, tending and cooking herbs grown in our student-tended herb garden.
