NORMAL COURSE LOAD FOR FULL-TIME STUDENTS
MSc students at HEC Montréal have a choice of 2 specializations in English, and 18 in French. For the Global Supply Chain Management specialization, students may choose either the thesis stream, consisting of 7 courses and a major theory or research paper, or the supervised project stream, consisting of 12 courses and a practical project. For the International Business specialization, only the thesis stream is available.

Specializations o� ered in English: All applicants must demonstrate knowledge of English at an advanced level1 when they apply. Working in Quebec generally requires a good knowledge of French.
Specializations o� ered in French: All applicants must demonstrate knowledge of French at an advanced level1 when they apply. Many learning materials and reference documents are in English, therefore students must have an advanced intermediate knowledge in English. In addition, working in Quebec, and particularly in Montreal, generally requires a good knowledge of English.
