In Term 1, 2006-2007, successfully completed a term project inspired by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and developed in collaboration with Atos Origin, the official IT partner for the Beijing Games.

o As part of this project, I designed a system architecture that exceeded all of the requirements given. For this project, we earned a score in the top third of our section.

o I earned an A grade in the course (top quarter of my section). Took a course in Advertising in Term 2, 2006-2007.

o My project was to develop an integrated advertising strategy for a Korean Tyre brand, Kumho tyres that was looking to gain market share in the Singapore Market.

o I developed an innovative strategy that included decals, radio advertising and a print campaign for motor enthusiasts. My presentation was selected as the best from amongst 10 other teams that participated.

o Some of the advertising strategies outlined by me and my team were later adopted by Kumho Tyres as part of their advertising campaign for the Singapore market.

Undergraduateo Winner of the Citibank Case Challenge in 2007.

Our 4 member team competed against 103 other teams from universities across Singapore.

We were asked to present our solution to senior management at Citibank on the credit card penetration issues that the company was facing in Singapore.

Took 20 hours to come up with a comprehensive presentation on the above solution.

Recommendations made by the team included tailoring credit cards to suit different personality types. This was highly recommended by Citibank Singapore CEO, Mr. Jonathan. Recommendations were also presented to the Senior Management Team of Citibank.

Won SGD 1500 in vouchers and internships with Citibank. Decided to decline the offer to take up an internship with the Tata International Internship Program instead.

We were covered by the Business Times, a paper by the Straits times, which is the newspaper with the largest circulation in Singapore.

o Completed a Community Service Project with Campus Impact from May 2008- June 20008.

Campus Impact is a newly established voluntary welfare organization, which provides a holistic approach to the character building of youths as they transit from childhood to adulthood, so that they become useful citizens to the community, serving as pillars of strength for the Singapore.

Was helping us build the prototype of a cyber-counseling service which would assist troubled school children to speak to seasoned counselors about issues they face in a non-intimidating environment.

Was able to provide them with a satisfactory working prototype of what the online solution would look like within my 8 weeks with the organization.

o Selected by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (SMU) from a cohort of 60 Overseas students from India to be part of the select team of SMU Admissions Ambassadors.

Selected for sharpness in wit, passion for SMU, and articulateness in speech. Most of all, quiet and assuring confidence that inspired many of the prospective students.

My ability to engage and advise these prospects played a significant part in SMU’s successful recruitment process in India.

Represented SMU Office of Undergraduate Admissions and participated in conferences organized by the Government of Singapore in Mumbai and Delhi to help spread awarenessabout SMU's degree programs in Schools and Junior Colleges in Indian cities. This gave prospective students and their parents an insight into and the attraction of studying in Singapore, particularly at SMU.

Made compelling presentations and engaged students in 5 top, reputable institutions in Delhi and Mumbai each.

Regular ambassador at SMU hosting visiting students – both overseas – including India – and local and never failed to create a favorable impression on these listeners.

o Was a member of SMU Ventures, the Entrepreneurship Society from 2004-2005. SMU Ventures as a society worked very closely with the SMU Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) and previously SMU Business Innovations Generator (BIG) to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship in SMU.

Was elected Director of Incubation for the Club from 2005-2006, after just 1 year with the club. In this capacity, I organized “ideation” sessions with the members of the club. My role was to discuss numerous industries/sectors and the business opportunities in these sectors. I was also closely involved with events organization.

Was elected Vice President of SMU Ventures from 2006-2007. In this capacity I was instrumental in mentoring 5 teams to the Asian Student Ventures Forum where the teams took both the 1st and 2nd position.

Organized YESCOM, a competition that saw the participation of over 500 students from schools and Junior Colleges all over Singapore.

Helped double the membership of the club and was closely involved in recruitment drives.

o Selected to be a Teaching Assistant for the course in Management Communication from a class of 45 students. Assisted the professor in teaching communication strategies to around 135 students in 2006.

Schoolo Represented India in a Cultural exchange program to Japan on invitation of

the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan in 2003.Was 1 of 4 students selected from reputable institutions all across the country. The program was all expenses paid and included 16 other students from countries in South Asia including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Pakistan.

o Scripted a play depicting Macbeth in a modern setting for the British Council, Kolkata in 2004. Also scripted the play for the Inter-House Dramatics Competition that won the award for the best play in 2003.

o School House Captain for the Year 2003-2004. Represented the house in Athletics, Chess, Debating and Elocution.

o School Captain for the Year 2005. Represented the school in Essay Competitons, Quizzing, Inter-School Fests.

Oracle CAPAC Services Pte. Ltd. (Singapore Branch)o Was recruited to the Oracle Graduate Development Program (GDP) for the

Sales & Licensing Organization in June 2008. Was 1 of 12 Graduates Recruited to the program from Singapore and 1 of 44 recruited from across all universities in the ASEAN region. For the year in which I was recruited, Oracle received 350-400 applications for the Graduate Program from Singapore.

o Underwent a 2 month training program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we were exposed to all aspects of the Oracle business as well as soft skills training. Was the team leader for my group which won the best presentation award at the end of the training program.

o Recruited to the Business Development team, taking care of business development activities for the SME business in Oracle Singapore.

o Transferred to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team for Oracle ASEAN. Was taking care of business development activities for the entire ASEAN region and Australia. Worked very closely with the sales team to map territory, identify prospects, speak to C-Level executives and deliver the value proposition of Oracle’s Value Added Products to them. Also closely involved with conducting events to spread awareness.

o Was instrumental in uncovering a deal worth USD 150,000 for a large F&B company in Australia. The company was piloting a project with another software solution when we entered the fray and were thus averse to using another product. I was able to communicate our product’s value proposition to him and secure a meeting with the sales representative.

o Was offered a fulltime role with the Business Development team within one year of joining the program and asked to take care of business development activities for Oracle’s specialty products which included Product Lifecycle Management, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and Demand Planning (Demantra). I was able to create pipeline of USD 1,300,000 in 1 quarter. My territory included – Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam.

o Was given complete responsibility of handling business development activities for Oracle’s applications, across all sectors for the Philippines territory. Created USD 4 million in pipeline over 3 quarters. Role involved connecting with C-Level executives across the Philippines, understanding their issues and putting forth Oracle’s value proposition to the business. I

was also instrumental in organizing numerous events across Philippines to create an interest in Oracle’s products and solutions.

o Industries covered included: F&B, Automobiles, Industrial Manufacturing, Retail, Education, Government, Logistics and High Technology.

o Pioneered a training program for partners on Sales Strategies which would enable them to conduct demand generation activities on their own. This resulted in a multiplier effect and incremental pipeline for Oracle’s Application products in the Philippines.

o I along with another graduate, pioneered the Oracle Ambassadors program which was a vehicle to showcase the work being done by graduates in Oracle ASEAN to prospective applicants to the program. This included having informal sessions with students from 3 universities in Singapore and 15 universities across the ASEAN region.

o I also maintained the Oracle Ambassadors blog where the graduates detailed their experience of working at Oracle.  The blog saw close to 100,000 hits. As a result of the efforts of the Oracle Ambassadors Program, applications from almost all ASEAN countries, doubled the following year.

o I was also responsible in collecting and providing feedback for the Oracle Graduate Development Program website worldwide. This was an extension to the project that his team completed at the end of their 2 month training program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

o Promoted to Individual Contributor (IC2) level within one year of being made a permanent member of the Business Development team. Was the first person in the Graduate Development Program in my batch to be promoted and fast tracked out of the program to a permanent role in the team.

You-At India Pvt Ltd.o Co-founded, You-At India Pvt. Ltd with Sumit Shah, in May 2007. The company was

based out of Kolkata. Its initial aim was to develop end to end online learning management solutions for educational institutions across India.

o The development of the email client and customization of open source Learning Management Solution, Moodle was outsourced to a third party. We were able to get 5 clients within the space of 3 months. These included La Martiniere for Boys Calcutta, La Martiniere for Girls Calcutta, St. James School Calcutta and Bhawanipur Educational Society, Kolkata.

o The company changed focus in 2008 to develop an online application, Locomi that would accurately map points of interest across cities in India for easy access via mobile phones with GPS. Users could then share their experiences at these points of interest with others.

o For the new application, the company raised a total of Rs. 10,00,000 in seed funding from friends and family.

o The team employed a total of 7 people including us 3 co-founders, 2 developers and 2 data analysts. The development and data analysis team was based in Kolkata while the founding team was based in the USA, Bangalore and Singapore. As head of product development I co-ordinated across an international design and development team of 5 people. I ensured

a strict adherence to the development timetable while ensuring a quality product.

o My role also included blogger relations. The application received coverage from reputed Indian blogs such as www.Pluggd.in as well as blogs in Singapore like www.youngupstarts.com. www.startupdunia.com

o In order to expand we required additional funding. To this end, we had to make product pitches and business plan presentations to 5 Venture Capitalists and angel investors. I was responsible for the same. I was also responsible for writing the business plan for 3 prestigious business plan competitions that we participated in, one of which was organized by IIM Ahmedabad. Locomi was invited by the Center of Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIM Ahmedabad to join their Incubation Program.

o I was also able to secure projects for You-At on the side. I brought in 3 web development projects from companies in Singapore. I also managed these projects on the side. This brought in much needed cashflow worth close to Rs. 5,00,000 to the company.

o In time, my role also expanded to taking care of Business Development activities. To this end, I was able to establish a partnership with buzzintown.com an events information provider and integrate their data with our application.

o Locomi collected data on 200,000 points of interest including their geo-coded location which was one of the largest databases of its kind in the country.

o When we were looking to exit, I was able to approache a number of buyers and pitch them Locomi's value of proposition. I was able to elicit interest from 2 companies. The company’s assets were sold to Buuuk Pte. Ltd, a Singapore based company that wanted to move into the Indian market. The company was able to recover its costs, make a profit on the sale and find alternate employment for all 4 non founding members of the team.

Synesi Consulting Services, Singaporeo Interned at the company from June 2005 to August 2005 in the Consulting

Division of the company. Synesi Consulting primarily provides consulting services for Small & Medium Enterprises in Singapore.

o During my 3 months with the company, I worked on 4 projects in 4 different industries in parallel. The industries I dealt with were as follows: security agency, software development, retail and oil investment. For the above 4 projects, my roles were as follows:

Research on the industry, landscape, opportunities and threats Analyzing the company’s performance and challenges and ideate

solutions for the same drawing from industry best practices. Making presentations on final recommendations to the directors of

the companies. My recommendations on changing firm licensing structure has been adopted by 1 of the companies.

In addition I also helped organize corporate events and in the preparation of workshop materials.

UBS AG, Investment Banking, Data Management Department, Singaporeo As a part of this internship, I was required to:

Understand the various transactions that the department handles for the investment bank.

Produce a process flow of all the processes in the department and document them

Identify the bottlenecks, suggest recommendations and automate the manual processes.

Prepare a database that would record the utilization of the members within the team for easier reporting.

o By the end of my internship, I was able to achieve all the aforementioned objectives and reduce the time taken to process transaction requests by 7%, much to the satisfaction of my department.

Tata Consultancy Services, Mumbai

o Was recruited to the Tata International Internship Program, under the TATA SONS umbrella an Initiated in 2006, this group level internship programme intends to bring in management students from international business schools and build the Tata brand on campuses abroad.

o Was placed with TCS, at the Corporate Technology Office (CTO) in Chennai and then transferred to the office in Mumbai. My project brief was to identify co-innovation opportunities for TCS with 4 of TCS’ partners: SAP, Oracle, HP and Microsoft.

o Presented a set of recommendations to the CTO office, outlining possible avenues of collaboration in 5 emerging technologies.
