June 2012 – To Date Self Employed as M&E Clerk of Works & Technical Author for Anglia Ruskin University and Asset QC work for all NHS buildings throughout the United Kingdom.

Self-employed with over 40 years in the Facilities Management and Maintenance industry. I have also operated in a surveying capacity for Asset surveying, compliance, lifecycle, contract evaluation, condition and Scope. This has been both for M+E and Fabric works.The preparation of building site Log books (CIBSE) – RFID Asset tagging/Registering/Dilapidation reports together with populating PPM planners-Scheduling and work sheets on numerous buildings throughout the Anglia Ruskin University Campuses in Chelmsford - Cambridge and Peterborough. Final year Clerk of Works on new projects within the University.

December 2012- January 31st Senior Engineer - Norland

Currently Temping for Norland - Responsibilities were, but not limited to the testing and rectification where necessary all lighting, small power. PAT testing, water hygiene testing together with site auditing to ensure complied to EE (Everything everywhere) specification on 11 data centres within the M25. Working on own initiative unsupervised, reporting back to the area manager on a daily basis. In May 2013 given 20 Virgin Money sites carrying out PPM and H&S Audits and preparing logbooks.

2002-2012 Area Supervisor - Integral Tupe’d over to MITIE took VR October 2012Responsible for four large Lloyds TSB critical sites located in Essex – Southend, Chelmsford, Romford DATA Centre & Basildon. Ensuring Site Activity Log Books were completed in a timely and accurate manner, maintained in accordance with procedures. Carrying out the water treatment tests, monitoring temperatures and rectifying where necessary logging all results. Fire alarm/Argon testing and logging to ensure compliance. Assisting with specialist service providers reports and updating all “as Built Drawings” where minor works were carried out. Ensure that all correspondence, records and files were maintained and that good office practice was maintained. Duties included but not limited to: ensuring all PPM’s were executed on time, supervision of a the maintenance teams, preparation of monthly reports to the satisfaction of the facility maintenance manager(s). Overseeing sub-contractors issuing all permits to work including site inductions. Experienced with mechanical and electrical equipment. Monitoring and servicing of the Trend BMS system, changing filters-fans-belts, motors, isolating LV & HV supplies, Emergency lighting checks and recording results, PAT testing, dealing with building shutdowns, maintaining cooling towers wet and dry type. 2000-2002 Electrical Commissioning Engineer - CMD Malaysia LtdResponsible for all Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance on "The Power Plant Shopping Mall" located in Amapola Corner Estrella Street, Makati City, Philippines. Equipment commissioned included BMS, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Sound System UPS, lifts, escalators air handling units, & chiller units.

1999-2000 Electrical Clerk of Works - Peremba Construction Engineers MalaysiaEngaged primarily as senior systems coordinator on the New Pan-Pacific Hotel, located at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Malaysia. Duties included fault finding, testing and final commissioning of the building management system (Johnson Control) Fire Alarm (Thorn Security) CCTV (George Kent) audiovisual and public address-voice alert systems, to ensure all were fully functional for final acceptance both by the client together with all relevant local authorities

1996-1999 Electrical Project Engineer - Norr Group Consultants Abu DhabiResponsible for the installation of fire alarm systems, audiovisual equipment, public address systems, programmable lighting, scene-set lighting, high-level bus bar trunking, security systems, high bay sodium lighting, BMS, UPS etc. Tested and commissioned all works carried out. Other duties included reviewing the Contractor's drawings - documentation, material submittals, inspection of materials prior to leaving country of origin, and authorizing monthly interim payment certificates on the New Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Center

1994-1996 Electrical Package Manager - WSAtkins DubaiTransferred from Bahrain to Dubai to oversee all electrical works on the new ALBurj Resort Hotel. At the time the largest Hotel in the Middle East and the only 7 Star Hotel of its kind in the world. Duties included close liaison with the client HE the Crown Prince of Dubai. Reviewing all electrical drawings, materials, etc. Preparing programs, progress reports, checking monthly interim payment certificates. The electrical installation was state-of-the-art with sophisticated security systems, touch television systems, low voltage programmable lighting, scene-set lighting etc. Tested and commissioned all electrical equipment.

1990-1994 Senior QC Engineer - WSAtkins Bahrain

A Prestigious Palace for HE the Crown Prince of Bahrain. (Now King) Comprising a main palace, four maglis buildings, engineering block, water treatment plant, industrial kitchen and laundry, all works approved personally by the Crown Prince. Reported to the resident Engineer. Responsible for quality control of all electrical, audiovisual, LV programmable lighting, building management systems and emergency power systems. Liaised daily with the Interior designers (Decovar of France) to ensure all works completed to the highest possible standard for the Royal family.

1988-1990 Building Services Manager - Coode Blizzard South YemenReporting to the Project Manager with specific responsibilities for the Control of all electrical works on the new Aden Port Extension Project, Inspection, Testing, commissioning of 11 KV ring main and associated switchgear, 5 Sub-Stations, high bay lighting and ancillary buildings. Inspected HVAC control panels and associated controls (STAEFA) Liased with Yemen Port Authority and Electrical Supply Corporation. Conducted daily inspections and produced weekly progress reports, together with the Preparation of monthly interim payment certificates

1985-1988 Senior QC Engineer - Kenzo Tange Associates Tokyo Japan

Reported to the Resident Engineer on the Arabian Gulf University (Bahrain) the largest in the Middle East. Responsible for quality and inspection of all electrical, audiovisual monitors systems, HV switchgear and associated works. Undertook testing and commissioning of SF6 switchgear and associated equipment. Coordinated and liased

with the State Electricity Directorate, Public Works and other Government Departments to ensure completion within contract period.

1983-1985 Senior Electrical Inspector - Saudi Arabia AramcoResponsible for the inspection, Maintenance, and approval of electrical contractors installations on various plants within the Eastern province, to ensure works executed were as per specification and relevant codes of practice NEC and fire hazardous areas were adhered to.
