Former University of Dallas Literature Professor and long-

time parishioner Bob Alexander will be teaching a class on

how and why we might be able to see the illustrations of

Christ in the writings of the ancient pagans. Classics such

as the Iliad and the Odyssey and so much more will reveal

Christ so long as we know where to look. He will offer the

same class twice. Once on Monday, September 28th at 7:00

p.m. and once on Friday, October 2nd at 9:15 a.m. (after

morning Mass)

Starting September 23rd through November 1st, we

will be praying and fasting (which can be done at

home) for an end to abortion. The largest and

most important component of the 40 Days for Life is

the constant, 40 day, round-the-clock Prayer Vigil

that we will be keeping outside of the Planned Par-

enthood abortion clinic at 6464 John Ryan Drive in

Fort Worth. Please join us in prayer as we pray for

an end to abortion. Or Please visit the website at

Family Rosary—The month of October has been dedicated as the month of

The Holy Rosary since 1571. The Feast of Our Lady

of the Rosary is October 7th. During this month of

October, when we honor Mary and turn to her in a

special way for guidance and protection, let us espe-

cially remember the power of the Rosary. Honor

her by joining us before Mass on the Blessed

Mother’s side of the Church for the Family Rosary. We will ask

Mary for her special intercession and protection for St. Francis

Marriages and Families during her month.
