Suzuki, Japan (74 : 26).
• License to import 40,000 cars in India.
• 1983 – Introduced Maruti 800.
• 1983 – Production started at Gurgaon plant.
• 1984 – Released Maruti Van.
• 1985 – Introduced Maruti Gypsy.
