Students to Perform with Junior High District Chorus
Jan. 13, 2017 — Several Mars Area chorus members were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Junior High District 5 Chorus Festival, to be held on Friday, Jan. 20, at Lakeview High School/Middle School (Stoneboro, Pa.).
Students are freshmen Dakota Boyle, Hailey Herrmann, Katherine Horrocks, Alyssa Machi and Griffin Miller; eighth-graders Kaylee Bechtold, Daniel Hand, Anthony Scilla, Lauren Spindler and Jon Williams; and seventh-grader Tori Speranza.
Stacy Paparone, Grove City College associate professor of music, will serve as conductor for the seventh/eighth grade choir, and Erich Lascek, Gateway High School music teacher, will conduct the ninth grade choir.
The event will conclude with a public concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, at Lakeview High School/Middle School. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
