January 8, 2017 Open to all 7th - 12th grade students. 6:30-8:00pm TODAY - We are starting a new 4-week series called “I’m In.” Potential followers of Jesus had a big decision to make. They were compelled to join Jesus when He asked them to follow Him. However, there were some good reasons to stay away too. We will look at these men and women and see why, when asked, they answered, “I’m in!” Week 1: Bottom Line - Following God starts with knowing your need. Scripture Reference - Luke 8 THIS EVENING- Youth Group is back! Join us tonight at church from 6:30pm to 8pm for a great program with great friends. Thank you to Laura for her faithful service in this ministry! If you have a request to put on the prayer chain, please email info@ wabashfriends.org, call the church office at 563-8452, or call Becky Binkerd at 765-981-2199. We are trying something new with the prayer chain: any prayer requests that are not critical will go out on one email the first day of the work week so that you will have all prayer requests in one document. Our hope is that you will be able to use the weekly email as a prayer list. If we have a critical request (death, bad accident, severe illness for example), we will still pass that along right away. Please help us by submitting non-emergency prayer requests such as upcoming surgeries at least a week in advance so we can get them on the weekly email. Infant - Preschool 8:15-12:15 Loving childcare is offered throughout the entire morning for this age group. Older age groups do Bible stories, activities, and music. Kindergarten-Sixth Grade SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:40-10:35 WORSHIP: 8:30 or 10:45 Children attend beginning of services with parents and are dismissed together for Kids Worship. Papanie Turay to Visit WFC on January 15 Papanie Turay will visit on January 15 and share his experiences in Africa. In 2003, Papanie Turay was a young man struggling to survive on the streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone. After being mentored by WMF, Papanie began leading a Good News Club for other street kids. In 2011, he was able to use his experiences with WMF to take a position with the Mercy Ship, and with their cross-cultural and leadership training became the ship's Crew and Guest Services manager. He is presently in the U.S. sharing with churches and researching educational possibilities. Come listen to this young man's experiences and his dreams for future service in Africa for the Lord.
