COME AS YOU ARE No time to get involved but wishing for spiritual
growth or a way to be more involved in our parish family?
Our loving God gives us all the time we need.
Each Sunday you're invited to participate in a spiritual,
holy and powerful way to share your faith with God and our
parish: bringing the gifts to the altar.
It's easy and fast: Tell the ushers you want to present the
gifts when you get to church. If it's your first time, they will
help you. At the Offertory, you literally walk up to Father
and he takes it from there.
As a “come as you are” parish, you don't even need to
worry about what to wear. After all, Jesus walked in the dust
in sandals and only saw what was in the people's hearts.
St. Mary Catholic School in Pinckney will host a weekly Open House every Thursday from 1:30-2:30pm throughout the school year. By calling the school office at 734-878-5616, parents can request additional times for tours for their students in grades preschool to 8th grade. Parents who are looking for a traditional education enriched with Catholic values and a family atmosphere are encouraged to come and witness the difference at St. Mary in Pinckney. Students are challenged to be their best in all learning and social activities. During the open house, guests will view students learning through the use of interactive white boards, working with Chrome computers in the classroom, and working and learning together through group and individual work. Please plan to gather at the school office anytime between 1:30 and 3:00 and Mrs. Kinsey, our school principal will be happy to answer any questions and take families around the school. You are all welcome to come and Witness the Difference at St. Mary in Pinckney.
SPELLING BEE WINNERS The Knights of Columbus sponsored a Spelling Bee contest at St. Mary last week. The winners are: grade
level 4-6, Chloe Connelly and grade level 7-9, Luke
deBeauclair. These school children will advance to the Lansing Diocesan finals on February 28th in Mason.
Congratulations to the winners & good luck.

Source of Mercy The season of Lent during this Jubilee Year should also be lived more intensely as a privileged moment to celebrate and experience God’s mercy. How many pages of Sacred Scripture are appropriate for meditation during the weeks of Lent to help us rediscover the merciful face of the Father!
Misericordiaw Vultus, N. 17 O Lord, here I am again facing another season of Lent. I’m not sure I have made much progress in my spiritual life. I still struggle with negative thoughts and feelings about myself. I keep listening to that other voice in my mind that tells me “I am not good enough.” I feel trapped inside, alone and afraid. Lord, during this season of Lent, help me to hear your voice, experience your tender love in my heart and feel good enough to share your mercy with others. Amen.
Psalm 51:1-17
