Good evening to all of you.

Before anything else, let me express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who are

here to join us in celebrating our mothers 75th

birthday. Your presence tonight is

a gesture of love and oneness with us in this celebration. I am sure you have

equally important endeavors that you should have attended to, but you chose to

be with us. On behalf of our family, thank you so much for making this affair

extra special.

Indeed, there are many things to be thankful for and today is one them. After all,

not everyone is blessed to live up to 75 years and beyond. How I wish our Dad,

the late Amadeo Mamuric would have lived long enough to witness this day and

see how beautiful and gracious our mom is, defying her age, still strong and

looking more like 57 than 75.

This is the most that we could offer to make her feel how much we love her. For

all the hardships that our mom has gone through in raising all seven of us start

counting from letter L to letter S with the exception of Q because it must be very

difficult to think of a name starting with letter Q - these are Lawrence, Marlon,

Nelson, Olive, Pauline, Raquel and Shirley. Add to this the fact that she alsoshares in taking good care of her 15 grandchildren, be it physically, morally,

emotionally or sometimes even financially, the youngest only two years old from

Raquel and one apo sa tuhod from Nelson.

Before I finally end this message, I think it is just proper that I l also thank the

people who made this affair possible. To all the people involved in the planning,

organizing and execution of every detail to ensure this is done successfully, you

really did a good job I am referring to the three ladies I have closely worked with

in the preparations - Olive, Raquel and my loving wife Carol. But I would like to

specially mention that this was Carols idea. She did the same with her father

when he turned 75 but really regret that her mother died so soon, she could have

done the same too. In their family, they express their gratitude to their elders by

way of giving a tribute while the person is still alive and healthy to hear

everything that they have to say and making him or her feel how much her

contributions to the family are appreciated. Its the best way of saying thank you

to the person they love while gathering the whole clan together.

Finally, I thank God for giving us our mother, Consuelo a long and healthy life.Mommy, happy birthday! Set the record of having 25 years more so you can also

see your grandchildren from Olive.

This is just the Opening Message, you will have to bear with us for more, the rest

of the night. Meantime, just sit down, relax and enjoy what we have prepared for
