Dee Gordon followed with a RBI groundout to plate Solano to finish Miami’s scoring. The Marlins recorded five hits, two off the bat of Christian Yelich (2x4). VS. BRAVES Miami has dropped the first two games of the 2015 series against Atlanta, and has dropped six of the last eight to the Braves at home. The Marlins are 9-21 against the Braves at Marlins Park, and have gone 84-96 all-time at home. The loss dropped the Fish to 150-210 overall against the Braves. UP NEXT Following tomorrow’s off-day, Miami will welcome the Tampa Bay Rays in a continuation of their intrastate rivalry. The Fish swept the 2014 series, 4-0, after being swept in the four-game 2013 series. Miami leads the series at home with a mark of 27-21, while also leading the all-time overall series, 47-46. The Marlins’ 162 Interleague wins are the most among National League clubs; the Mets rank second with 157, fol- lowed by Washington’s 156. The Marlins’ best single-season mark in Interleague Play came in 1997, when they went 12-3. KOEHLER A FIXTURE IN THE HOME Last season, Tom Koehler posted a 7-5 record and 3.00 ERA (96.0 ip/32 er) in 15 starts at Marlins Park, allowing three- or-fewer runs 12 times. DON OF ALL TRADES Over the course of his seven-plus year career, Don Kelly is the only active player to have appeared at every position in the field, including pitcher. He has one career appearance as a catcher, 87 at first base, nine at second, 130 at third, five at shortstop, 165 in left field, 55 in center and 112 in right. - Stats LLC FREE RANGE Christian Yelich, Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton were the first Marlins outfield trio to make consecutive Opening Day starts since Jeff Conine, Chuck Carr and Gary Sheffield in 1994-95. Last season, the triumvirate com- bined on a .280 average, 255 runs scored, 87 doubles, 12 triples, 69 home runs and 244 RBI. Miami won 77 games last season, making Redmond just the seventh manager in MLB history to lose 100 games in his first season and improve by 15-plus wins in his second season (same team only). Additionally, only two other NL teams since 1969 have recovered from a 100-loss season to win 77-plus games the next year: the 1986 Giants (83 wins) and the 2005 Diamondbacks (77). Following the season, Miami extended Redmond’s contract through the 2017 season.
