MARINE SERVICEIMPROVEMENTSFORSOUTHAUSTRALIA

The Bureau of Meteorology is progressively upgrading its forecast system to provide more detailed forecasts across Australia.

From the end of October 2011, new and improved marine forecast services will be introduced in South Australia.

Coastal Waters Forecasts• Thenumberofcoastalwatersforecastzoneswillincreasefrom5to10tobetter describeseaandswellconditionsacrossthestate

• Seaandswellforecastswillextendto4daysahead

• Animprovedlayoutforeasierreadingthatwillincludeforecastsforthunderstormsor fogovermarinezones.
