METHODOLOGYRecruiteX represents the demand aspects of recruitment. Demand for talent is computed by factoring activities of recruiters on TimesJobs.com. This demand is integrated with numbers collected by our offline team and then segregated accord-ing to top industry verticals, func-tional areas and locations.The base value for the index has
been kept at 100 for the month of December 2010. All RecruiteX val-ues for subsequent months repre-sent the trend of RecruiteX viz-a-viz December 2010.RecruiteX, in its most comprehen-sible format, is aimed to provide a detailed insight of the recruitment market in India to employers, re-cruiters and job seekers alike.

TALENT demand dropped by 5 per cent during March 2016, as hiring activity slumped across key
sectors, reveals latest RecruiteX, the recruitment index by TimesJobs.com. Among key sectors, only automobile, accounting, tax and
consulting reported rise in demand during the month. Entertainment/media/journalism professionals posted the highest rise in demand. Legal and law professionals too witnessed rise in demand. Customer service/tele calling profile reported stable demand during March 2016. Among key locations, Vadodara
posted the highest rise in talent demand. None of the metros saw any rise in hiring. Among states, Kerala topped the demand index. Hiring was low across experience categories, with candidates having 5-10 years of experience witnessing the maximum drop in demand in March 2016.
FY 2016-17 begins on a low note with an average drop of 1% but sectors such
as IT/telecom, BFSI and automobile have witnessed positive hiring momentum
