1.General1.1OfficialguidelinesTheproducthasbeensubjectedtoaconformityevaluationprocessandconformstothefunda-mentalrequirementsoftheapplicableEuropeandirectives.

1.2Notes•TheInstallationandOperatingInstructions

constituteapartoftheappliance.Theymustbemadeavailabletotheoperator.CorrectobservanceoftheInstallationandOperatingInstructionsisabasicrequirementforusingtheapplianceproperlyandsafely,andnewpersonnelmustbeinstructedaccordingly.TheseInstallationandOperatingInstructionsmustbehandedovertoanysubsequentowneroroperatorofthisappliance.

•Thesafetyoftheoperatorandtrouble-freeoperationoftheappliancecanonlybeensuredwhereoriginalengineeringmanufac-turedpartsareused.Additionally,onlythoseaccessorieslistedintheInstallationandOpe-ratingInstructionsmaybeusedorpartsoraccessoriesexpresslyapprovedbyDürrNDT.Ifaccessoriesareusedmanufacturedbythirdparties,thenDürrNDTcannolongerprovideanyguaranteeforsafeoperationorcorrectionfunctioning.Anyclaimsarisingfromdamageorinjurywhenusingthirdpartyorunapprovedpartsareinvalid.

•DürrNDTcannotbeheldresponsiblefortheappliancewithregardtosafety,reliabilityandfunctionwhereinstallation,reset,alterations,extensionorrepairswerenotcarriedouteitherbyorforDürrNDTorbyathirdpartyspecificallyapprovedbyDürrNDT,oriftheapplianceisnotusedandoperatedaccordingtotheinstructionslaiddownintheInstallationandOperatingInstructions.

•TheseInstallationandOperatingInstructionsaccordwiththefeaturesoftheapplianceandthelevelofengineeringatthetimeoffirstintroductionofthemodel.

•ThistranslationoftheInstallationandOpera-tingInstructionshasbeencarriedoutingoodfaith.Liabilityforincorrecttranslationwillnotbeaccepted.TheaccompanyingGerman

versionoftheseInstallationandOperatingInstructionsaretobeusedasreference;ifyouhaveanydoubttothecorrectinterpretationoftheinstructionspleaseconsultyourdealer.

•AreprintoftheInstallationandOperatingInstructions,alsopartsofit,isonlypermittedafterwrittenapprovalofthecompanyDürrNDT.

•Keeporiginalpackingforpossiblereturnoftheappliancetothesupplier.Donotletthepackagingfallintothehandsofchildren.Onlytheoriginalpackingensuresoptimumprotec-tionfortheapplianceduringtransport.If,duringtheperiodofguarantee,returnoftheapplianceisnecessary,DürrNDTwillnotacceptclaimsfordamagearisingfromusingincorrectpackagingduringtransport!

1.3DisposalofapplianceEUDirective(s)2002/96/EC-WEEE(WasteElectricandElectronicEquipment)of27thJanuary2003andtheircurrentapplicationinnationallawstatesthatproductscoveredbytheabovedirectivewithintheEuropeanUnionmustbedisposedofasspecialwaste.IfyouhaveanyquestionsconcerningthecorrectdisposalofthisproductpleasecontactDürrNDT.

1.5CorrectUsageTheDürrDaylightCoverDL26NDTisdesignedexclusivelyforattachmenttotheX-RayFilmDeveloperUnitXR24NDT.TheDaylightCoverDL26NDTisattachedwhenadarkroomisnotavailable.

CorrectusageoftheappliancealsoinvolvesobservanceoftheInstallationandOperatingInstructionsaswellaskeepingtosetup,opera-tingandmaintenanceprocedures.

1.6IncorrectusageAnyotherusageorusagebeyonditisnotconsideredthedesignatedusage.Themanuf-acturerwillacceptnoclaimsforanydamageorinjuryarisingthereby.Allriskswillbebornebytheoperatorand/orowner.

2.Safety2.1GeneralnotesonsafetyThisappliancehasbeendesignedandma-nufacturedbyDürrNDTsothatcorrectusagewillresultinnodangertooperatororpatient.However,wefeelitisimportanttodescribethefollowingsafetymeasuresinordertoremoveanylikelihoodofdanger.•Whenoperatingthisappliancealllocaland

nationalrulesandregulationsmustbeobser-ved!Thisappliancemustnotbeconvertedoralte-redinanyway.DürrNDTacceptsnoliabilityclaimswhereanappliancehasbeenconver-tedoralteredinanyway.Intheinterestsofsafeusageoftheappliancebothoperatorandownerareresponsibleforseeingthatallrelevantapplianceareobserved.

• Installationmustbeexecutedbyatechnicalexpert.

•Theoperatormustcarefullychecktheap-plianceforsafetyoffunctionandtheproperworkingconditionbeforeeveryuse.

•Theoperatormustbetrainedinthecorrectoperationoftheappliance.

•Thisproductisnottobeoperatedinanareaatriskthroughexplosion,oranareawithacombustibleatmosphere.

Usage

Inordertoavoidincorrectdevelopment,alwaysobservethefollowingpoints:

•Keepthelid(15)closedduringfilmdevelopment.

•Closethefilmdepot(17)afteruse.Ifusingthefilmpocket(16),ensurethatitisinstalledcorrectly.
