Printer Terminology
Printer is used to print user documents containing texts and images
Besides printing, some printers can perform various other operations such as faxing, scanning
Modern printers can also connect to electronic media such as memory sticks and other devices such as digital cameras, scanners and cell phones

Working of Printers Special printer file is created by a print spooler
Instructions are fed from the special printer file into the printer in small amounts which are stored in a buffer
Print spooler puts all the documents that are waiting to be printed in a print queue
Printer icon appears only when the printer is printing or waiting to print a document
