Andrea Mamé
BIO GR A P H Y
He was born in January of 1972 in Milan and went to school
in Switzerland – at the “Leonardo da Vinci” Technical High
School in Lugano. He then completed his education with a
degree in Production Management Techniques at the Liuc
University in Italy.
After graduating at the University the apprenticeship at a
metal-mechanical factory in the North of Italy was another
important contribution to his preparation for the future. He
joined Forgiatura Mamé in 1994 spending a period of time
in all the various departments in order to learn more about
the company.
His first managerial role came in 2000 when he was ap-
pointed Sales Director, he then went on to take on the role
of CEO bringing significant changes to the Group and achiev-
ing levels of primary importance at a world wide level.
Andrea Mamé was also a rally driver and then a racing driver
in the Gran Tourism category.
He is fond of shooting, scuba-diving and sport in general.
All fields where making decisions, speed of action and con-
fidence when dealing with contingencies are necessary and
fundamental qualities.
Andrea Mamé is also able to apply these skills to his busi-
ness activities, addressing the market with determination,
commitment, but above all passion. Passion is in fact what
Andrea Mamé is renowned for: for his work, for sport, for
nature and for life.
Mamé Group was established in 2009 in order to expand its
business opportunities. Andrea Mamé is President & CEO of
the Group.

FORGIATURAMAMÉLoyalty to steel
FORGIATURA MAMÉ - LION MECCANICA - AM MACHINING - AM LOGISTIC
Loyalty to steelForgiatura Mamé is the Group company that is the symbol of the historical tradition and extensive work of four generations of the Mamé family.
With over 100 years of activity in this sector, it is the world leader in the production of Open Die Forgings. Its prod-
ucts (turbine shafts, valve bodies, driving components, bushings and many others) meet the requirements of even
the most demanding clients operating in high-tech sectors: Power Generation, Nuclear, Wind Turbine, Mechanics
and Heavy Industry, Petrochemical, Mining and Naval industries.
Forgiatura Mamé operates on the international market where it distinguishes itself for the quality of its products
and the level of service provided to customers.

S UP P L IE R S
The search for new suppliers is a fundamental phase which
leaves no room for error. Professionalism, quality, deliver-
ies and costs are just some of the standard evaluation as-
pects. We request Dynamism, Speed and Precision from our
Suppliers, we want them to feel part of a project.
T E A M
As in all team sports, a company’s results can only be
achieved when its operations exploit a team logic method.
Targets are reached thanks to team efforts that optimise
employee talents and enhance their individual penchants.
The team is composed of a group of six people that includes
directors and managers, youngsters and graduates who meet
monthly to put all their experience, preparation, availability
and professionalism into the pot when deciding on how to
tackle company problems and issues. An essential and fun-
damental structure that focuses on company growth.
QU A L I T Y
Forgiatura Mamé works continuously to improve all aspects
of the company aimed at meeting customer satisfaction: in
particular by creating a youthful organisation that is cus-
tomer service oriented providing cutting-edge facilities
and tools. All of the above combine to highlight the out-
standingly high level of quality.
Quality is a value to be developed at 360 degrees and in-
volves every aspect of the company. Understanding cus-
tomer needs while providing rapid and accurate information,
presented with a professional and cooperative approach, is
of fundamental importance.
R E S O UR C E S
Forgiatura Mamé currently has all the resources required
to respond effectively to every possible customer require-
ment: Forging lines, heat treatment furnaces and cooling
tanks, automatic ultrasound control machines, rotating
stability furnaces.
S E R V IC E S
From an organisational point of view, Forgiatura Mamé of-
fers its customers an exceptional level of service with a
professional and competent Sales Area and a Customer Care
division that is able to respond to any demand quickly and
effectively, also thanks to the support of a customer orien-
tated web portal.
F R ON T OF F IC E
In order to meet increasingly stringent customer demands,
exceptionally high quality standards must be maintained
and this aspect entails daily contacts with Suppliers.
The Purchasing Department is a Front Office to all intents
and purposes. It has a strong predisposition towards prob-
lem solving, extensive communication ability and high-level
professionalism, which means it can filter incoming re-
quests and redirect them to the relative area or division.
17
R E S E A R C H & DE V E L OP ME N T
The real challenge when developing new products
lies in being capable of correctly interpreting cus-
tomer needs and translating them into a produc-
tive cycle that is able to guarantee them in a reli-
able and cost-effective manner.
Forgiatura Mamé also has a group of people who
focus on Research & Development (CRS). This ac-
tivity is rather uncommon in medium-sized com-
panies and confirms the fact that the company
believes in its future.
CRS is an idea implemented by Andrea Mamé which
supports innovation of processes, both internally
and at customer plants and sustains continuous
product improvement.
Investing in the development of know-how makes
it possible to respond quickly and satisfactorily
to customer demands. Ongoing investments are
planned accordingly and are even able to anticipate
future customer requirements and propose new
solutions.
18
T E C HNOL O G Y
Technology is just one of the tools available to
improve its own quality level. To achieve such
standards of excellence, investment plans are tai-
lored to meet both the company’s and customer’s
requirements. Forgiatura Mamé believes that in-
vestment in technology is a vital strategic aspect
and this is why new information tools (ERP Pan-
ther, CRM, MES, Forge) and new control systems
(UT automatic control) have been introduced over
time.
M.E.S. - Manufacturing Execution System - IT system applied to manufacturing processes,
which simplifies and makes data collection more
efficient, providing detailed and accurate infor-
mation in real time. This system is a huge advan-
tage when planning production implementing pro-
cess control.
CRMCRM is a flexible and technologically advanced
software that enables improvement of interfacing
processes with customers and suppliers, making
it possible to record and analyse all interactions
between them and Forgiatura Mamé. It is linked to
the Customer and Supplier Portal, and allows for
real time sharing of all information related to the
management of the various orders. The portal can
be accessed by customers to view the status of
all open orders and download all the related docu-
mentation in complete safety. Likewise, Suppliers
can promptly inform Forgiatura Mamé concerning
any possible supply related problems. This has led
to improving and simplifying relationships and
communication with customers/suppliers and un-
derstanding and satisfying every specific require-
ment, easing back office and resource administra-
tion activities that optimise business as a whole.
19
Investments
A company must always be up at the front with all trail blaz-ing concerns. Corporate philosophy has always focused on continuous improvement, searching for new production and organisational methods.
Investments are essential in order to guarantee work force
and social welfare, to innovate, to improve quality, perfor-
mance, customer service, and to reinforce its position on the
market.

OHSAS 18001 is the most internationally recognised cer-
tification and represents an organisational tool that allows
companies to manage the health and safety of workers in
a systematic manner. Safety for workers is a top priority.
The Group’s objective is to strive towards achieving zero
occupational injuries, whilst intensifying the perception of
this assurance in terms of individual safety. Considerable
attention is paid to health check-ups and employees attend
training and informative courses organise to illustrate all

are required to implement and comply with.
ASME SECTION III, DIVISION I (NCA-3800) nuclear certifi-
cation. Once again, the Mamé Group shows how it is able to
keep pace with the times, structuring the company so as to
seize all new opportunities and be able to overcome the ‘ob-
stacles’ that can arise from contingencies that are unrelated
to the market.
