Unplanned Teen PregnanciesStates with the lowest amount of contraceptive education and accessibility are the states that have the highest number of unplanned teen pregnancies.

Accessibility of Contraceptives Some states have

enacted refusal clauses. Healthcare providers

can refuse to give contraceptives.

Publicly funded family planning services. Helped avoid 2 million

unintended pregnancies. Would’ve likely resulted

in1 million unplanned pregnancies and 700,000 abortions.

Education and PregnancyThe rate of teen pregnancies is going up as the rate of sex education that’s being taught is going down.

Educate and Advocate Educate the masses

on birth control/contraceptive. Education leads to a

better understanding and preparation.

Advocate for accessible birth control/contraceptive for all men and women. Accessibility means

less unplanned pregnancies.
