Makeup Expiration Guidelines

Eyes:

● Mascara = 2-6 months

○ (Or when it gets clumpy or smells weird)

○ Don’t share mascara

○ Don’t pump the wand in and out

● Liquid Eyeliner = 6 months

● Brow Pencil = 1 year

● Liquid Eyeshadow = 1 year

● Pencil Eyeliner = 1-3 years

○ (Or until there is a white film that can’t be sharpened off)

● Powder Eyeshadow = 2-3 years

○ (Or until extra dry and flaky, color changes, or smells bad)

○ Invest in a cosmetic sanitizer

Lips:

● Lip Gloss = 1 year

○ (Or until extra sticky)

● Lipstick = 1-2 years

○ (Or until dry or smelly)

○ Store in the refrigerator to last longer

● Lip Liner = 1-3 years

Face:

● Liquid Concealer = 6-12 months

○ (Or when it separates into layers or the colour has lightened)

○ Keep out of the sun

● Liquid Foundation = 6-24 months

○ Keep away from heat and moist environments

● Cream Blush = 1 year

● Oil-Free Foundation = 1 year

● Cleanser = 1 year

● Moisturising Foundation = 1.5 years
