Host of the Conference

Madhya Pradesh, also known as the "Heart of India", owing to its central location is the second largest state in the country by area. Madhya Pradesh is blessed with natural beauty as well as beautifully carved temples, stupas, forts, palaces and mosques. The state won the ‘Best Tourism State Award’ in 2012. Madhya Pradesh has many National Parks, Tiger Reserves and Wildlife Sanctuaries, such as the Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha National Park, Ratapani Sanctuary, Pench and Panna Tiger Reserves which are the most exciting wildlife destinations in India. Other famous tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh are Khajuraho, the Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi, and the Rock Shelters at Bhimbetka etc.

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty, old historic city and modern urban planning. The two lakes of Bhopal still dominate the city; bordered along their shores are the old city with its marketplaces, magnificent mosques and the new city with its verdant, exquisitely laid out parks, gardens, broad avenues and streamlined modern buildings. Bhojpur, Bhimbetka, Tribal Museum, Boat ride in upper lake, Van Vihar, etc. are some of the famous tourist attractions in and around Bhopal. The city of Raja Bhoj never fails to entice you.

Bhopal- The City of Lakes

The ‘Make in India’ initiative was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in September, 2014, intended to boost the domestic manufacturing industry and attract foreign investors to invest into the Indian economy. Before the reader discovers how far we have progressed, it is worth reflecting briefly on how this journey began. The ‘Make in India’ program has been built on layers of collaborative effort. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) invited participation from Union Ministers, Secretaries to the Government of India, State Governments, Industry leaders, and various Knowledge Partners. These exercises resulted in a road map for the single largest manufacturing initiative undertaken by a nation in recent history. They also demonstrated the transformational power of public-private partnership, and became a hallmark of the ‘Make in India’ program. Once the road map was in place, the program began to accelerate. The outdated frameworks of the past were rapidly dismantled and replaced with a transparent and user-friendly system that helped drive investment, foster innovation, develop skills, protect IP and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure. It is a powerful galvanizing call to India’s citizens and business leaders and an invitation to potential partners and investors around the world. Most importantly, it represents a complete change of the Government’s mindset –

a shift from issuing authority to business partner, in keeping with Prime Minister’s tenet of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum

Governance.’

During the last decade Madhya Pradesh has gone through a wide range of economic and social changes. The state has enhanced its capacity from optimum utilization of its natural resources as well as skilled human resources. Its effort in ‘Make in India’ Project is creating a remarkable growth in various sectors like Education, IT, Manufacturing, Renewable and Reusable energy, etc. One of the major steps taken by the state is the creation of the real single – window system to grant clearances for setting up new industries. Make in India is opening investment doors, multiple enterprises are adopting its mantra. The world’s largest democracy is well on its way to become the world’s most powerful economy.

Make in India

Make in India, a major national program, designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure. Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on his Independence Day speech has given the slogan ‘Make in India’ and called upon countries of the world to come to India, manufacture products and sell anywhere in the world. The campaign, aimed at improving the performance of the manufacturing sector, will lead to more jobs for young Indian men and women.
