Welcome to the 2016 MAHPERD Convention at the College Park Marriott Hotel and ConferenceCenter! As the past-president of MAHPERD, joined by president Amy Mueller and president-elect EricBishop, we welcome you to our annual convention. We hope that you find sessions that are meaningfuland relevant to your work. In times of constant change MAHPERD members continue to adapt and growin order to provide Marylanders with the information and skills they need to lead a healthy and fitlifestyle.

If this is your first MAHPERD experience, we are excited to have you and hope that you will enjoy thealmost 60 unique presentations in the fields of adapted physical education, health education, and generalphysical education. If you are a returning member we are happy to see you back and hope that you willcontinue to find our convention meaningful to your professional growth.

Please find time to stop by and chat with our sponsors about the products and services they have to offerour profession. It would be a bigger challenge to offer services like the convention, professional development funding, mini grants and advocacy for our membership without our corporate sponsors.
