Monday kicked off with a game of light-ning during reading period. Five kids from each grade competed to see who would be the last one standing. Eighth grader, Sammi Murtha, was one of the competitors who won the lightning game.

Tuesday was the cup fall and the seniors won. Kids from each grade got in one line to pull a card out from underneath a plastic cup and try not to knock it down.

Wednesday was scooter races and the ju-niors won. The seniors did get a second try at it after being disqualified for cheating in the first run.

Thursday, Homecoming royalty played a game of volleyball against staff, which was very amusing with Mrs. Deinert stomping on the se-niors’ flag.

Friday the games that ended Homecoming week were: tug-of-war, dodge ball, and a relay race on the football field. Everyone enjoyed the barbecue afterwards.

Fun and Games all week long!

Homecoming Friday:by Tyler Huether

Friday was our homecoming day here at Parkston High School. We started our day off with most everyone wearing blue and orange to school. We had a blast playing games all day till the parade. The first games that we played was a relay race with class against class. You had to spin around, then run half way down the field then another person hopped half way down the field then someone down at that end popped a ballon and ran back to tag the next set of people who had to do a three legged race. The final people had to keep a basketball between to two all the way down the field. After the outside games we went inside to play a scavenger hunt. After that was the tug-of-war with the class agent class. After the tug-of-war we ate the barbeque. After lunch we had our traditional pep rally. After the pep rally it was time for some candy grabbing at the parade. Homecoming Game:by Colin Mann

The Homecoming football game was sched-uled to be on Friday, but due to bad weather it was postponed. The score on that night was 0 to 0. The game was moved to Saturday at 5:00. All of the scoring occurred in the second half. And despite all our valiant efforts, the final score was 7 to 14. Our one touchdown was scored by Miles Semmler. At the very last few seconds, a second trip to the end-zone fell just short of a score.

Finally, The Big Day
