SUMMER IS HOT & TO STAY COOL, EVERYBODY WANTS A DIP IN POOL

Hurray !! The Summer Holidays are here again,

To enjoy the sun and the rain. It’s time to have fun,

To create, learn and gain !!!! Dear Parents,

Summer holidays are the time of the year when you get an opportunity to spend maximum time with your

child. Help them out with this interesting, creative and innovative holiday assignment. Here are some

suggestions to help your child use time constructively. Some activities require adult supervision, learning

together can be loads of fun.

In July, your child will be expected to understand instructions given in English and it is also important that

your child learns to converse in English. Here are some tips.....

You must converse in English with your child

Story time

Let’s Take Care....

Do… Must recite a prayer before every meal (Pg-9 in school almanac)

Keep yourself hydrated by drinking Nimbu paani, Rooh Afza, Aam ka panna…

Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day

Mark the day and date on the calendar

Learn to write your name everyday

To built strength and concentration do meditation

and some yoga exercises like Surya Namaskar

Go close to nature by joining your Grandparents for a

morning walk and imbibe some values from them.

Dance away to your favourite tune

Be self dependent by dressing up yourself, buttoning your shirt

and tying your own shoelaces

Get socially empowered by planting more trees,

caring for birds by feeding them with bajra and water and

give away toys and clothes that you do not use

Restrict your time to watch T.V(not more than 2 hrs)

Not to waste food

Not to Bite your nails

And use a hanky/ napkin to wipe your nose

Instructions for Parents:

Maintain a 3 in 1 notebook for the practice work given in English, Hindi and Maths.

Write A-Z, 1-50, ( 5 times)

Cover the notebook and send the activity worksheets in an attractive handmade folder.

Story Time Read all the stories with your child from

the Panchtantra story book.

Discuss & try to evoke the response of the

child at the end of the story (What is

right/wrong). Make him/her learn at least 1

story in his/her own words and help him to

prepare props related to it. Your child will

be assessed for the same on 4th July’14.

Story book have to be brought back and

submitted to the class teacher after the

vacations.

Guidelines to make the folder:

Make the Folder with the handmade sheet given.

Paste passport size photograph of the child in school uniform. Let the child learn how to write name,

class on computer and paste computerised printed slip of the same and finally decorate the folder.

Make your ward write date and H.W on every task attempted. (Remember date should not move out

of the margins)

Inculcate the habit of reading by providing picture story books and watching adventurous and

creative programme like Art Attack, Discovery etc.

The assignment will be graded on the basis of originality of work, presentation, timely submission,

students self initiative and oral presentation of topics given.
