INTRODUCTION The purpose of my PowerPoint is

to pitch a concept of a new indie/alternative music magazine that I am going to create.

There are already indie/alternative music magazines on the market such as NME.

However Condé Nast have specifically asked me to create one as they currently do not publish any music magazines and they want to compete with other publishing houses.

TARGET AUDIENCEMy target audience will be 16-21 year olds,

males or females.

They love listening to Indie/alternative bands or artists and like going to gigs and festivals. They are the type of people who would class themselves as original and unique.

It will be sold monthly and they will be willing to spend £1.50 - £2.00 for it.

GENRE The genre of my magazine will be

Indie/alternative music.

I have chosen this genre because although there are already magazines of this genre, I believe there is a big gap in the market for mine as it will be very unique and different to other Indie magazines.

USPMy unique selling point is that my magazine will

include a monthly 4 page guide to all the biggest UK festivals, such as Glastonbury and V festival.

For example every week it will have ‘festival survival tips’, the latest fashions, reviews and articles of what he best festival are.
