Mad About Science Non-Fiction Book Club

How can my child join this club?Register for the program by downloading this form from the PRS website. Return the form to your child’s teacher.

Once your form has been received, you will receive and email to let you know when you can begin the program and sign out your first book bag.

Select a bag from the book rack which are located in the front foyer. Be sure to choose a bag for your child’s current grade level.

Each bag has a “Self-Service Sign-Out Procedure ” card. On the back of this card is a photo list of the books that should be in that bag. Verify that all the books are the bag BEFORE you sign out the bag.

•A sign-out card islocated in the outsidepocket of each bag.

•Parents should signtheir child’s name andthe current date on thecard and place it in aindex card box behindthe number whichcorresponds to thenumber of the bag.

Please return the bag within 2 weeks. Remove the card from the index box, cross off your child’s name, and replace the card in the outside pocket of the book bag.

Find your child’s record sheet in the Mad About Science notebook and write the date next to the bag that has been completed.

What if a book is missing from the bag we are taking (or returning)?Place the bag in the Mad About Science bin (located below the sign-out shelf). Be sure to check the books that belong in the bag both BEFORE you sign it out, and again when you RETURN it. There is a list in each bag of the books that belong in that bag.Families will be held accountable for the books/bags signed out to them.

How many bags may we take at one time? Please take only ONE bag at a time and return it within two (2) weeks.

When may we exchange bags?

When school is in session - 7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.

During school vacations - 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Please DO NOT park in the bus loop.
