MULBERRY STREET UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
May 21, 2017
www.mulberrymethodist.org
A Time for Everything In Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1, King Solomon in his aged but wise counsel, reminded us that “There
is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
The season of transition is upon us, and the Staff Parrish Relations Committee wanted to share
some updates to our Mulberry family.
Jeff Cook will be our incoming Associate Pastor transitioning from Christ United
Methodist Church in Albany, GA. Jeff and his wife Sandra with their two girls, Kinley and
Audrey, will be moving to Macon on June 14.
Trevor Ward will be serving as the Interim Director of Youth for the next six months, as we
approach a fulltime search for that position. Trevor currently serves as Worship Leader in
our New Room Service, and has been assisting Bill Culpepper since his arrival at Mulberry
with our youth.
Rich Kosowski will be serving as the Interim Director of Music, as the permanent
replacement search is still ongoing. Rich too, will be starting his role in mid-June. Rich
currently serves as Associate Professor, and Director of Graduate Studies in the Townsend
School of Music at Mercer University. Rich also serves as music director at Mercer
University Opera.
A special “thank you” to all the individuals and committees that have worked so diligently to say
thanks to the Pastors/Staff that are leaving us, and for helping us identify new faces to join our
Church family. The same thanks should be offered to our current Mulberry staff as they have
filled the gaps and plan for these announced transitions.

Of Greatest Worth
Not what I get, but what I give,
this be the gauge by which I live.
Not merely joys that come my way,
but the help I give to those astray.
Not the rewards of money and fame,
but the loads I lift in mankind’s name.
This be the pay at the end of the day,
not what I keep, but what I give away.

Be a Praying Parent
Prayer is the saucer into which parental fears are
poured to cool. … Each time a parent prays, Christ
responds. His big message to moms and dads?
Bring your children to me.
