We set a goal of giving
7,100 lbs. of food and hy-
giene items to our local
emergency food pantry in
2011.
We have given 6,636
lbs. so far this year, or
94% of our goal with 92%
of the year gone by.
We seek to help the
people who need our
help in the name of Jesus
Christ with a little extra
food throughout the year.
Food that does not need
cooking, small water bot-
tles, canned food, staple
food, easy-to-prepare
food, diapers and personal
hygiene items are much
needed. If you prefer,
you can contribute funds
and volunteers will shop
for you.
God is doing great
things at Faith Lutheran
Church. Let’s continue to
respond to his blessings
by caring for those most
vulnerable and in need of
our help.

What does it say then

We talk about the
commercialization of
Christmas has been
celebrated for almost
2000 years. Cultures
have chosen to mark the
birth of Christ in ways
that reflect who they
are.
As God became hu-
man flesh, so our faith is
embodied in ways that
reflect who we think we
are as particular groups
Christmas, about keep-
ing Christ in Christmas,
and about having a
Merry Christmas holiday.
We say it every year.
Change will come when
we live our faith as a
celebration of Jesus.
Let’s pray for that this
year.

THE VISION CORNER
What if we provided the funds to pay our
mortgage, support all our existing ministries, and
call an associate pastor and a minister of music?
What gifts and strengths would we want those
persons to have? What new ministries is God
calling us to do? Who could we reach toward
realizing our mission to introduce people to new
life in Jesus Christ that grows into enthusiastic
living?
Send your thoughts to [email protected] or call
them in to the church at 909 599-3978, or speak
with Pastor Berkedal or a
member of our Church
Council about them. Pray
about how you can help
realize our mission.
Our annual Thanksgiving Feast and FLC Election Meeting was
packed! Our thanks to all who made it possible.
