Solar PowerThe Terex AC250-1, a 300-ton all-terrain crane is working in the Baltimore, Maryland area. The crane is working at a solar farm on the East Coast. The AC250-1 is hoisting a 63,000 lb “solar field” energy transmission box, which is on a skid for a client.

Flare StackShown above is the our Manitowoc 16000, a 440-ton crawler crane and our Grove GMK6350, a 350-ton all terrain crane. The cranes are working at an OPD site near Carlsbad, New Mexico. The cranes are hoisting a 180,000 lb flare stack for a new processing facility in the area. The Grove GMK6350 crane is tailing the vessel, while the Manitowoc 16000 crane hoists and stands the vessel upright. The 16000 will ultimately set the flare stack in place.

Step by StepShown here is a construction project we worked on in the Baltimore, Maryland region for Armada Hoffler Construction. The 400 ft tall Potain MDT 412 tower crane with 246 ft of jib is helping assist the construction of this Exelon Building. Not shown were Avro hoists that were also used on this project from UCR. The project is just now finishing up.

Light-A-ThonCrane Service - Aztec, New Mexico competed in a christmas light contest this year, dubbed the Christmas Light-a-Thon. They came home with a third place ribbon. This was a fun way for our Aztec branch to participate in our new community. We are excited to compete next year.

Questa MineShown here is the Terex AC100-4L, a 120-ton class all-terrain crane. The AC100-4L is hoisting heater components that weigh 21,000 lbs. The heaters are modular and the crane had to se ~8 of these heater containers. The challenge for this project is the small area to work with and the tight clearances on the head room [notice the heater duct location]. In this business every little inch matters, whether is is clearances, outrigger placement, radii, etc.
