MANAGING COMMITTEE OF DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, VIJAYAWADA MEETING 20th FEBRUARY, 2007.1. THE PRESENT STATUS OF THE SCHOOL AND REVIEW THE PLANS FOR THE SCHOOL BUILDING.We have advertised in leading news papers and other media for admissions 2007-08.

The proposed dates for the orientation programmes for the parents are as follows:

21st May, 2007 for Classes Nursery, Prep and Class I.

23rd May, 2007 for Classes II & III

26th May, 2007 for Class IV & V

27th May, 2007for Class VI & VII.

For Boarding house parents the same day in the Evening Session will be arranged.

The civil construction of Phase I will be completed before the 31st of May, 2007. The finishing of 1,00,000 sq.ft. of the total 1,20,000 sq.ft. will be completed before 31st May, 2007. The finishing of the remaining structure will be completed before the end of December 2007.

4. Science Laboratory for Primary children.

5. Traffic Park.

6. Music room.

7. A multipurpose room for audio-visual period

VIJAYAWADA5.DISCUSSION ON THE ADMISSION PROCESS.We are receiving a good response from the public and quite a good number of NRI parents for admissions. We are planning to start our admission process from the first week of March, 2007.

The total strength of the school at the time of commencement of the academic year is expected to be between 550 to 600. All efforts have been made to keep healthy boy girl ratio.

6.DISCUSSION ON THE REQUIREMENT OF STAFF

(TEACHING AND NON TEACHING)We had advertised in two National dailies, one regional daily news papers. We are receiving a reasonably good response to our advertisements. Now we are in the process of short listing the candidates to call for a preliminary interview, written test and group discussions.

For the final interview process we are expecting convenient dates from our Chairman, Managing Committee, DPS, Vijayawada.

8.DISCUSSION ON ORGANISING A SEMINAR ON INTERACTION WITH THE PARENTS AND PUBLIC OF VIJAYAWADA.This is a request from our side that maximum parents and public those who are coming for enquiry they would like to know about our system and how we are going to differ from other schools in this region.We will be pleased if you send any resource persons for a seminar cum interaction programme with the parents and public of Vijayawada.
